Love!
I bought this bench based on the photos. When it arrived it ended up being a perfect match to the cabinet I have in the exact same color, distressed style. Then I realized they are both Ashley Furniture, which by the way, if you can find, is straight up quality. All solid wood products at great prices and are nothing like the Amazon furniture poor quality I run across often. Buy Ashley Furniture on Amazon! It’s the real Ashley. Ends up my 2 pieces, bought years apart, are from the same collection! I feel so lucky that this happened! I love my pieces!

It's a one person job
I'm 74 years young and I put this together in 45 minutes by myself. Had to download instructions as they were not included. It a perfect fit at the foot of my guest bed. So glad I got this piece. Worth every cent.

Perfect bench for small foyers areas
This bench was fitted perfectly in my foyer entrance. Very cute. It is solid wood and very sturdy. I like it alot!

Lovely little addition to any place in the house
There was a very strong smell coming out of the wood, peculiar to a certain type of wood. We managed to clear it off by wetting the bench and parts then let it dry outdoor for a few hours.

A globby finish and a bit rickety
ITs distressed in a way that it looks like I let my 3 year old take a metal pole to knick it up. there are globby painted areas that look like someone painted over a piece of finished furniture without sanding it first. I know this is "the look" - it just doesn't compare to other quality distressed finish pieces I've had before from Ashley Furniture. For the price it does it purpose and looks nice so I give it 4 stars. It wasn't a breeze to set up - some screws were too long and poked through the seat top when securing the catch-chain inside the interior compartment - that could cause an "ouch" for someone sitting on the bench! Luckily we are using it with a pad, so not a big deal. For the quality I think its a bit overpriced at 112. I would've deemed it more around 80-90 value in dollars. Seems a bit rickety to use as an actual sitting bench!

"Rustic"? More like sloppy workmanship
Looks fine from a distance, but poorly constructed with cheap parts & material. Fairly simple to assemble but needed lots of adjusting to get things to fit right. Discovered the cracked arm after finally getting the dang thing all put together. Not impressed considering the price.

Better to purchase from Ashley and have it assembled by them
This is true to size. It is sturdy. It appears in real life as you view it in the photos. But there were no marks on where to attach the hinge for the flip top and my first try was close but the seat would have been crooked. I would have rather purchased from Ashley and had them assemble it to save myself the headache. Also the chain that comes with it is probably the cheapest crapiest chain I've ever seen. I will be purchasing a new way to attach the lid to keep it from flipping up too fast back and breaking off or removing it and going without because mine is up against the wall.

Pseudo faux rustique décevant
Je l’ai acheté parce qu’il est petit et pratique pour mon entrée. Je suis extrêmement déçue du traitement fait pour faire semblant d’être rustique. Toute la peinture est boursouflée!!! Cela ne paraît pas sur le site d’Amazon où je l’ai acheté. Il y a des traces bizarre comme sur cette photo. Cela va me prendre énormément de temps pour tout « réparer » et refaire une couleur tant la couleur est boursouflée . Les meubles antiques ne sont jamais massacrés à ce point. On devrait nous le montrer dans la publicité.

Missing bolts
Got the bench. It’s ok, but one of the main structural bolts is missing. Should have been 8, I got 7. This bench was not cheap BY ANY STANDARDS. Not at all impressed. We built a $10,000 ikea kitchen and not one bolt short.

Cheap crap. Sent a broken Unit and wouldn't help.
I purchased this item in good faith. I was within the timeframe for returning the unit. It was cracked on the leg. They wouldn't take it back. Cheap Crap.... buyer beware. PS... no phone no email nothing to communicate with the company!!!
