Really pretty set, and vibrant colors - a lovely addition to our table.
I love the pattern and colors of this tableware. I just received the set and washed and put it away, so I can't speak to the durabiity yet. At first look, they are a nice sturdy stoneware and the colors are very bright. Only one of the dishes has flaw that cannot be sanded, as it is a burr on the eating surface of a dinner plate. I will be contacting the company for a replacement. They also say they offer a one year extended warranty at no cost for writing an Amazon review and registering the set with them, and that they will replace 1 item no questions asked. All in all, I would recommend this tableware, pending the response I get for my replacement dinner plate.

I like but expected smoothness
The Elama Zen Red Mozaik stoneware set is beautiful, very sturdy and heavy. I was very disappointed that the bare exposed stoneware edges on the bottom were extremely rough with clumps of displaced stoneware material; see pictures. I was able to hand sand the bare edges to make them somewhat smoother so I could stack my new stoneware for storage as to help prevent scratching the eating surface or scratching my table and counter tops. I have just received my new stoneware and have only used the salad plate once; therefore, I cannot yet comment on the chipping factor. If they do not chip within a couple of months, I will be buying another set. I hope my next set has smooth bottoms.

Great Plates and Fun Designs Overall
My wife and I love these plates for the colorfulness and what seems to be good quality. They are heavy and on the bottom of all of the pieces there is an unglazed ring that on some pieces have burrs that can scratch surfaces so using them with table mats is recommended. But again overall we enjoy and are satisfied with the purchase.
