Sound doesn't last

The batteries died within a few days. We have replaced them multiple times since Christmas and just gave up.

Awesomely educational

I may sound like I’m bragging (maybe I am) but my 21 month old is BRIGHT! She LOVES puzzles and is already mastering 3+ puzzles and speaks very clearly (I am blessed). Knowing this and having a Master in K-6 education, I wanted a puzzle where not only she could learn the shapes of the alphabet but she could actually learn what the names of the letters are. The words are clearly announced and memorable. The only issue that I see is any letter can trigger the audio so if your kid is trying to put the N in the H - which actually fits- then it will say the wrong letter.

Works, pieces fall out easily

It’s does work. The pieces don’t stay in well because the cutouts are so shallow. If you bump it at all the pieces go flying. So plan on picking up letters and numbers a lot. Otherwise, since it is light activated it will speak to you in the dark of night calling out the letters and numbers that are missing

Not the best Melissa and Doug product.

This puzzle has great potential, however, unlike other Melissa and Doug puzzles, there is no little peg attached to the puzzle pieces so it's hard for even an adult to take just one out and put one back in. Also, it frequently states the wrong letter or number or no letter or number at all, making it hard to accurately teach them to your child. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. We liked our wheels on the bus sound puzzle a whole lot more!

Nice learning tool

Bought for my smart 16 month old. She's learning quite well with this. It's not as easy as so e since the pieces don't match the board like the other ones. So it's a nice challenge and good for us to do together. Haven't done the numbers yet, saving that one. Just wish they came with batteries installed already

We love any Melissa and Doug product

My little boy has played with them so much in less than a week that we have had to replace the batteries already! The only issue I have (which I have called the company and given my suggestion) is that on the number puzzle, the 6 and the 9 are the same color. This has been very confusing for my 2 year old trying to learn his numbers.

Waste of time

Sent it back, the puzzle work when it does and it doesnt even say the correct number/letters when putting piece in. But number 7 in and it will say 14 ... not grwat educational toy if ur teaching ur kids number and abc...

Very Good Quality

My son loved it we , it is one of the items prescribed by his speech therapist. Need more such items from melissa & Doug . Very good quality.
