good chair

They are good sturdy chairs, but mine were extremely hard to assemble because the parts didn't quite line up with each other. The base attaches to the seat with 4 pegs that fit into 4 holes and are secured with screws. It's a great plan, but when they don't line up with each other, it's very frustrating to get the chairs assembled. It ultimately took a lot of strength. Maybe mine were the odd chairs and they normally work just fine. Once together though, they are good and solid. Mine were for theater use, so I don't know to rate the comfort, since they are not used for long periods.

Meh

This set of chairs takes less than 10 minutes to unbox and assemble. The chairs are beautiful and feel substantial. The flaw is the legs are not 100% sturdy, so not a good choice for small kids -I am GiGi, so that lost 2 stars. I am using this set on a sun porch for extra dining seating. They are effortless to clean. I prefer a chair my whole family can use.

VERY durable and a nice shape

I was a bit surprised at the price of these chairs considering they are plastic, but when the chairs arrived it became clear why they are priced as they are. most plastic chairs are made of thin material. They have a certain usage life and then we're out. They can't always withstand severe weather if they are used outside. These chairs on the other hand, can be mistaken for wrought iron from across the room. They are light enough to move easily but much heavier and more durable than most plastic chairs. The material feels incredibly thick and sturdy. It is also weatherproof, so these would be fantastic chairs to use outside. The chairs would certainly need a pad to be comfortable, so you need to buy a waterproof chair pad in conjunction with these chairs to use them outside. While it's nice that you can choose your own chair pads and change the colors, it does mean that when all is said and done you're spending over $100 on two chairs that are made of plastic. These chairs are quite nice, but with a bit of a price knockdown I think they'd be a better value.

Made in China. Pricey. Not really comfortable, but ok for a short sit.

These chairs look like wood, but they are indeed plastic. Not super sturdy, but I use them for teens / kids in a school student café, so they work quite well. Also not all that comfortable. . . but again. . . for a short-time use, they are fine. These chairs are Made in China. At the current price of 136, I think they are at least twice the price they should be for Chinese plastic.

Nice chairs. Weird but nice

I'm so surprised these are plastic, but I'm really pleased with them. They are much more sturdy than you'd expect, which is good. I've wanted to replace our kitchen chairs for a bit since the ones I purchased last time just don't look right and they're not as comfortable as I'd hoped. I grew up with these ice cream parlor-style chairs, too, and I had fond memories of them. Ours were caned, and then upholstered when my sister stuck her knee through one. However, these are plastic. That is really weird to me, but I decided to go for it anyways. They look plastic up close, but the style is perfect for my newly remodeled kitchen. These are really comfortable, but I think we'll be ordering cushions for the seats anyways. I don't think they'll be comfortable for anything more than sitting for a meal or a short game. I good quality cushion is important. I do like the chairs, I don't think they look like plastic, they pass as just plastic-looking painted wood-- because who would expect plastic chairs? You have to be thinking they are plastic to believe they are. They are lighter than wood though, that might be a give away. They look great. I'm really happy with them for now, and the plastic doesn't bother me at all, though it bothers my husband a bit. My kids find it a novelty. Recommended.
