Comfy Kitchen Chair

I bought this to replace a very old well loved Cosco kitchen chair that the steps pulled out. These steps don't pull out but I chose this chair over the other because of the terrible reviews. The chair is very comfortable despite not having a padded back. The steps are wide enough and sturdy. My husband with power tools put it together in minutes. White would have been my last choice but the price was right. My only issue is the 'missing paint' on the front corner of the bottom step. It's obvious that it was not chipped but just not painted correctly. How about a little quality control Cosco? For the hassle it was not going back. It was already out of the box and together when I noticed. Other than that it is a great little chair for the kitchen. *Contacted customer service and they are sending a 'repair tool' which im sure is some touch up paint. ????????

Came in handy

I have a little fold up table with two stools stashed inside. I have 2 grandkids. I bought this to have an extra chair for the 3 of us. It has come in handy a multitude of times already. There have been many times when I needed a step stool to get to stuff and have to go to the closet in the main house to get the step stool. Now I just lift the seat on this and I'm good to go. I'm actually loving it more than I thought I would. The style isn't quite right to go with the table and I debated back and forth for a long time before deciding on the practicality of this one. I'm glad I did.

Not bad

I love it Only complaint is that it’s a bit wobbly I went through the build several times but there’s no way to resolve However, my apartment has some areas where the floor isn’t level and it works perfectly on those spots! Other than that it is a bit narrow but very sturdy and very comfy!

Nice chair - too bad no instructions or hardware

The chair is what I wanted, a place to sit whilst cooking. Very nice. Unfortunately the orange plastic streamer that promised hardware led to nothing. An interesting puzzle and I had some 5mm screws.

Works but Cheesy

Stool is functional and handy, but no match for the 1950s-70s originals. Adequately sturdy but no more. Light-gauge metal, cheesy semi-matte powder coating instead of gloss enamel, sloppy visible welds, flimsy plastic pivot brackets, thin low-grade vinyl seat cover, and so on. Screams "cheap" and detracts from kitchen decor rather than enhancing it. But it is inexpensive and it does work both as a seat and as a step stool to reach upper kitchen cabinets, and there don't appear to be any alternatives.

Very nice step stool

Solid and easy to assemble. Like another review said, the legs have a hard cap on the bottom which makes them slippery on a smooth floor. I will replace them with rubber ones. The seat needs more padding. What little foam padding that is on the seat, about half an inch, does nothing for comfort. Overall was good value

Love the retro look

This step stool is exactly as described. Looks very cute in my kitchen and is useful as an extra seat as well as a step stool.

Great addition to the kitchen

I always found myself getting a step stool to reach the top cupboards and I also wanted a stool to sit on and this is the perfect piece to satisfy both. A little expensive but it works.

Beautiful chair step stool

Love the step stool and chair design. My mother had one when l was young so had nostalgic appeal for me. Gave 4 stars in comfort because backing of chair is metal only no padding. Sturdy and space saving
