The perfect amount of shine

If you’re looking for a balmy product more like a chapstick feel/look, this isn’t that. This is a glossy balm that goes on pretty sheer with one or two coats, but gives the lips a juicy, full look. No glitter or shimmer, just fantastic shine without looking gloopy. The color is buildable with a heavier application, but even the sheer application is very pretty. It gives color that looks natural. I got the pecan shade and it looks so dark in the pics, but it’s not dark at all. It’s a pretty nude brown. I think the lighter shades might not show much color, but I like the formula so I might pick up a few more shades. The formula is definitely soft and creamy, so when you twist up it clicks as the product is dispensed and you only need to click it a couple times to get enough for a good application. Don’t click too much out because you can’t twist it back down. This is similar in design and formula to the tarte juicy lip products. I love those just a little more as they have a better color payoff. But this price is unbeatable for the quality. To me, the rose scent isn’t strong and it doesn’t linger, but if you’re sensitive to rose scents, this might bother you. Certainly worth it if you’re on the fence about giving it a try.

The formula is far too soft to be able to apply like a lipstick, but...

Despite the product images in the listing, there's no way this will extend out of the tube to apply like a lipstick - the consistency is like pudding. This means you have to click it up a notch or two, then you kind of have to smoosh it on your lips. Alternatively, you could dip a lip brush into it and apply that way, which gives you more precision. It's very moisturizing, isn't sticky, and the color that I purchased (Biscotti something, I believe) is subtle and lovely in an understated way. If it goes on sale, I'd definitely repurchase. The application isn't presented in the best manner, so 4 stars overall as the packaging and presentation aren't nearly as user friendly as they should be. The product is nice, though, so it helped me to overlook the design flaw of the way they'd like you to apply it.

Weird smell

I like this product a lot. One of the shades has a weird smell though.

it doesn't show on me

I put it on my lips, but it just look like my lip color. My lips are dark pigmented, so when I put it on, no color showed, it is more of a clear gloss for me. I was hoping it had a more darker pigment than my own lip color. Otherwise I still like it and I layer it with other lip products for a soft and glossy feel.

Juicy lips

Great for those on a budget. I have the hourglass and tarte alternatives. Can’t say this is better but definitely comparable!

Such a beautiful color! I really like this lipstick. It’s a little bit sheer but nice and glossy with a light pop of color. Just what I was looking for. It lasts as long as a typical lipstick or lipgloss would stay on.

So Moisturizing

This is the perfect lip gloss. It has the moisturizing component which makes it feel so good. Like other glossy lipsticks, it tends to not be as long-lasting. Perfect for over your lipstick color.

Love it!

I purchased the color 'Pecan Glaze'. The texture is nice-seems moisturizing. It did not have a weird smell or taste, as other reviews stated. I am Caucasian with fairly pale-ish colored lips and this gives me plenty of color, yet it is sheer. I think this is a great lippy for times when you want a little color without putting on a full lip. And the price is perfect for this.
