Attractive, easy to install

This globe light arrived very well packed and without damage. Normally I don't comment on packaging, but I think it's important on an odd shaped item, and especially one that you might need to be right the first time. The packaging could have easily supported 5 more round trips while safely protecting the contents. The fixture itself is striking. The gold finishes are even and well matched. The cord is sufficiently long to mount in several different types of rooms with ceilings of different heights. One thing to note is that the entire fixture light is open, so light projects in all directions. This is good for opening up a room, but also depending on the bulb you use, the light can appear to be harsh to too intense. This fixture lends itself to interesting looking bulbs since the bulb is revealed. The fixture was simple enough to install myself - the instructions and hardware included were decent enough - and it took me about 20 minutes to install (obviously in the picture attached I had not trimmed the cord yet as we were not sure on the height). In my case, I was attempting to replace a frosted globe fixture - so the room definitely felt brighter. The light also felt a little harsher (because nothing is diffusing the light) than before. After installation, it needs a thorough cleaning to remove any finger prints (better yet, wear gloves while installing!) Ultimately we decided the fixture let out too much light for the small room we were considering it for. We are going to try to mount it in another location, or attempt to make 'milk glass' by coating the inside with a paint/water/glue mix technique I saw on youtube.

Great light.

Easy to install and looks amazing. This isn't so large that it overpowering but still manages to put out a great deal of light.

Stunning!

This is a stunning light, and pretty large scale! I like that the cord cover is fabric, and it's easy to adjust the length. The gold color is beautiful, and not at all brassy. The globe is sizable and well packaged.

Very nice!

This light is pretty substantial in size and worked out perfectly over the sink to replace a recessed light that is 9 feet up. Installation was not difficult and the fixture is very pretty. Recommend!

I love this light!

What a beautiful and very unique piece! It is super classy and very easy to install. It's big but not too big where it looks awkward. Will work as a dining room light, entryway or kitchen if you have more than one. It's made out of high quality materials and is absolutely stunning.
