Not as pictured

Not as pictured. I should have checked the part number. PA212303AV will not work for my application. The one in the picture does. Sending it back.

Good regulator, and some advice

I replaced my OEM regulator after about five years. Same brand. New one works great. A bit of adivce...I installed a shut off valve between the tank and the regulator so pressure is no longer on the regulator 24/7. I leave my shop compressor on all the time so I have air whenever I need it. Old configuration had the shutoff valve after the regulator. Constant 90 psi pressure likely lead to the old regulator's seal failure after 5 years, which I believe is testimony to the OEM valve's quality. With new valve configuration, my tank holds full pressure for more than a week when not in use.

Failed after 11 months

This unit worked pretty well and was about what you'd expect from a pressure regulator... for a little less than a year. I have left this set @ 90PSI pretty much since the day I installed it. I have adjusted it maybe 5 times. About a week ago the pressure started creeping up on it's own and the over pressure release would continually hiss. I have verified that the gauge itself is fine. The regulator is what has failed after less than a year of just sitting there doing nothing. Additionally, this is one of those units that you have to overadjust if you set the pressure too high. What I mean by that is that if you happen to pass the mark for the pressure you want, you can to turn it counterclockwise a good 5-10 turns before the pressure actually starts to drop, then turn it back up again to get the pressure you were after. That's a pretty minor thing though... just something to be aware of.

easy regulator

I got this regulator to replace an identical unit that apparently got stuck in the over pressure venting position. It's a nice easy to use regulator that will work for a long time. But "long time" isn't the same as forever. I'm just happy that they're available as replacements. :)

Air compresser air regulator

Regulator arrived as advertised. It came with ample instructions and once installed it was very responsive and worked as designed. Seems to be a quality product and is currently installed on a craftsman 30 gallon air compressor. Most satisfied with purchase.

Critically failed after 9 months of moderate use.

As another reviewer stated; The regulator failed after 9 months of use. The pressure would climb on it's own and when the knob was turned to reduce the pressure, the regulator would then vent air out from under the knob, non-stop, causing the compressor to constantly run. We empty all the air from our compressor nightly and generally work at 90psi. Pretty gentle use to experience a failure so quickly.
