Great Lead for Small Breeds

Red Dingo does a great job with leashes and collars for small breeds and this one is no exception. Light, strong, with a good quality easy-to-use clasp. The loop handle is a little padded and super soft to the touch. The only down side is that the handle tends to fray quite easily with regular use, so in a matter of weeks, it looks all fuzzy and destroyed. The material the handle is covered in could use some improvement, otherwise a great product. Also, as this is one of the "patterned" designs, the lead is a bit more stiff than the plain colored ones. This is due to the pattern actually being another layer of fabric sewn to the face of a plain lead. This pattern will only appear on one side of the lead. Although the patterns look nice, I prefer using a patterned collar with a plain matching lead.

Red Dingo makes quality items at a good price

I loved this pattern for my two and started with the collar in this pattern. I was so impressed I had to have matching leashes, too. I just wish the handle matched the leach pattern instead of being black. It looks like it is a stiff plastic handle in the picture but it is really a soft quality fabric that will fit well around the wrist or in your hand. It just would have been nice to have the entire leash be of the pattern - just my preference. Don't let it deter you from purchasing because the quality is there and the price is good.

Really nice leash!

I bought the whole set and it's been so wonderful for my pup's needs. I also do love how you can shorten the leash. This leash was made for us! There are times were she is behaving and I can just let her have more walking space and I'll loosen it up. Whereas the other times she's misbehaving or if we are walking in a public place I'll keep it short and she feels more comfortable that way. It's really beautiful material and it doesn't look cheap or flimsy. I've gotten so many compliments since pink stands out (:

Love leash but poorly made

I love the leashe but the quality of leashe is very poor. I am attaching a picture to show that after a month and week of use, the whole part of the hook came right off. My dog is only 5Lbs and it came off when I was walking her today. The other leash next to the blue one it's for my 10 lbs dog which is the same brand and the purple leash is ag least 3 years old. I am very disappointed that the blue one broke after a month of use and it is no longer returnable. :( I will toss blue leash away! It was a waste of my money to purchase this blue leash.

Good quality. The ability to lengthen and shorten the lead is a great idea. The handle is padded for good comfort. I use it for a Boston terrier and it works great. The clasp to attach to the collar can be a bit tricky, especially if you have long nails because the little latch is short.

Looks great with the matching collar and harness

We initially bought a Red Dingo ID tag which looks really great and is fantastic quality. We liked it so much that we decided to look into their collars. We initially chose the collar but then saw they had matching harnesses and leads so we bought all three. They look great together! This lead is nice and thick and the handle is soft. Much better than the cheap Petco one we had before.

Beautiful lead but very thin

The clasp is terrific and the material strong and very pretty, but it feels too thin to use on small dogs 14-26 pounds who like to charge other dogs while on walks. Switched to the large leads and am very happy.

The lead is good to look at and generally well designed. One aspect of the design that lets the product down is the soft grip handle. The black nylon fabric has a tendency to pluck and go fuzzy. A smaller point is that when the lead is adjusted to the shortest length, there is no way of securing the loop in the lead such as a slider or loop to secure it at the collar end of the lead.
