Better than any high end grinders I’ve tried!

Ok, so I was given one of these that looked pretty bad bc it was so old. I loved all the things I could use one of these for but I started using it to powder dog food for an elderly dog who finally lost his last two teeth. Hopped on amazon to buy the exact same product and ended up trying a newer model,different brand. Lord was I dissatisfied with the newer more expensive yet highly rated one I bought on here! Screw the sub par fave I’d just duped myself into. I came back and snatched this brown one up by proctor silex again bc it can not be beat, for a portable small grinder this dude does everything I can come up with to use it for. Now I have the super old one and the new one and both function exactly the same. No one would guess which one was used for grinding in a side by side,the old one is working just as well as the brand new one and I could not be freaking happier with this grinder,I expect the new one will be working as if brand new many years from now!!! The one I chose of the two is the brown one bc I personally find a removable cup to be a freaking pain bc that’s what the other grinder I tried had and my mom’s ridiculously expensive non portable grinder leaves chunks and so did the brand I bought here. Wtcrap? Anyways I’m a diehard fan now and I will nvr use another grinder!! Happy grindage ya’ll, you can not go wrong with this affordable grinder:) you just can’t!!!

Buy this grinder!

This is a GREAT coffee grinder! After purchasing two Hamilton Beach grinders that had declined in quality since the last one I owned, and were as loud as airplane engines, this one is far and away the best grinder out there. 1. It's quiet. The sound shield really does work, it just emits a low grinding sound - you can carry on a conversation while it's operating. 2. Easy to use. The inner lid locks easily and you just place the clear sound shield over it and press down. No fiddly little buttons, super easy! 3. The inner metal grind bowl comes right out for cleaning, replace it by just dropping it back in its place. Nothing to snap, totally simple. 4. Grinds evenly and fast - about 10 seconds for 2 tablespoons of beans. 5. The cord is a good length, and there is capacity to wind it around under the unit. However, since I use it everyday I just wrap it around the grinder - it's not super easy to stow the cord, but the other features outweigh that slight inconvenience that I wouldn't drop the star rating for it! In short, BUY THIS GRINDER! It's an absolute winner!

Nice little coffee grinder

UPDATE: I have been using this for about a month, now. I really like it. The sound is baffled enough so it doesn't wake the whole household. It grinds well. I am still trying to get that perfect grind. If I let it grind for 8 seconds, it's not enough, and 10 are a bit too much! I need to remember to count 9 Mississippis to get the right grind. Tough to remember before your first cup of coffee! I decided I wanted to start buying whole beans and grind them for my morning coffee. I am not a connoisseur, so I didn't want to spend a lot. This machine is easy to use, easy to clean and does the job well. I only use it for coffee, so I wipe it out with a dry cloth or paper towel after each use. Wonderful!

I like that this grinder is heavy duty enough to grind nuts,and it does a great job on coffee beans.Its attractive and has a small foot print.Its exactly what I wanted.

Mail person too lazy to leave a key to open a large mail bin for retrieval.. instead smashed the envelope into small letter bin, I almost needed forceps.. box smashed but luckily grinder seemed untouched

Great for One Fresh Cup of Coffee per day

Personally, I only have one cup of coffee in the morning. It's perfect to grind the exact amount I need for a good 12 oz espresso. I use the grinds to refill my Nespresso pods. No complaints.

Small capacity but works great... Bowl isn't stainless steel... A brush would have been helpful

Don't forget it's only $20..

For people complaining about any features this grinder may or may not have just remember it only costs $20. For that price point it's powerful, easy to use, and relatively quiet. If you're looking for something more expensive that'll yield same results then there are plenty other bad decisions available for purchase. With that said - I'm happy it does MORE than what I'd expect from a $20 machine.
