Pretty good. Very pretty, hard installation and not perfect mechanism

The finished door is pretty, but there were some big frustrations during assembly. I had a standard lever door knob on my door prior to this one. The look and feel of this piece is very nice- heavy duty, sturdy, and the finish is very pretty- not too shiny, not too yellow. Few things you should make sure of before drilling holes and trying to put this on. Make sure your door bore hole is perfectly circular. The inside piece of this door mechanism was longer and fatter than my original by just a smidge so it was difficult to get it into my existing opening. The plate is not very wide, so if you have a doorknob that left indents in the paint around the bore hole, it will probably peek out from under this vintage door knob. If this piece was 1/3 inch wider, it would have solved this problem. Also, the doorknob doesn’t turn super smooth, so I added a bit of WD40 to try and smooth the turning mechanism, and that helped a tiny bit, but still stiff. I highly suggest you watch the installation video on the company’s site because that will save your a lot of headache. Overall, very pretty and I love the look; but installation isn’t easy and the mechanism isn’t super smooth.

Beautiful and functional

I only take off a star for this one as it is pretty stiff turning. However, I just bought a pile of different types of these functioning door knob and lever sets by Nostalgic Warehouse, and they don't turn as stiff. Only this one does. I poked around here on Amazon and got this for a STEAL: less than $30. They only had 1, but that is fine. I am outfitting all my doors with these sorts of door hardware by Nostalgic Warehouse. These all seem to be made in India, but they are GORGEOUS and well made and heavy. I absolutely love the products by them I have purchased, which is about a dozen different, but similar types.

Love them, Love them

Love them, Love them. I ordered 4 of them, got such a good deal on the privacy knobs, ordered one for a closet because the passage was at least $50 more. The privacy lock is just a little button, so I don't think it will be that big of a deal to put it on a closet door. The oil rubbed bronze finish is more like a very dark brown/black. Exactly what I was looking for. I don't have them on the doors yet, will install in a few days. They were packed very well. I am very happy I bought them. Perfect

I love, love love the look of this on my antique barn door. The quality of the workmanship is beautiful. The glass knobb is gorgeous! I'm so pleased with this purchase. It fit my vision I wanted of a antique door with a touch of elegance with the glass knobb and decorative plate.

Doesn’t fit old doors

The door latch is present day hardware so these sadly do not fit the antique latch. I really was wanting a doorknob and plate to bring the 100 year old doors back to life. The door knobs themselves are beautiful.
