Not a perfect fit for the Sterling brand.

Sterling is owned by Kohler and these hinges fit the holes in the seat but the ring and lid don’t nicely line up so it looks odd. I’ve installed these and the generic ones. I made the generic ones line up perfectly but had to drill new holes. That can be an extra hour install. So how much is your time worth and does it have to look perfect? Also $56 is ridiculous so one star gone for price and one for less than perfect fit.

Kind of expensive

This are not cheap but they are genuine Kohler and are an exact replacement for my old hinges.

Expensive but better than aftermarket options

Held the toilet seat securely much better than the other aftermarket ones we tried. Took one star off do to high cost. Looks good

Expensive but probably worth it

This was purchased to replace the original plastic hinges on an approximately 20 year old Kohler toilet with it's own original toilet seat and lid. I could not seem to find the exact Kohler brand hinge that came with the toilet originally. After looking at a variety of non-Kohler aftermarket hinges and reading from reviewers about frequent problems or failures, I decided to pay up for the genuine chrome Kohler hinge. I am not disappointed. It seems very sturdy. It looks great in a master bathroom with other chrome items (towel rack, etc.).

Good seller.

It's the right part and looks great. Shame it had to be replaced, again - better construction by Kohler would be nice. A lower price for a simple hinge would also be nice.

Just what I needed

I have a black Kohler seat that is about 10 years old and the hinges broke. So I felt fortunate to find these even though they are pricey and not quite as good quality as my original hinges.
