nice upgrade from my crosswave

So first, the good. I like how it looks - the design is sleek in a very retro-future kind of way. It’s not bulky like my old Crosswave, and comes with its own cleaning tool (and is much easier to clean in general). It dries the floors better, doesn’t leave behind streaks. Other people commented that a full charge only gets you about 30 minutes of use, which really worried me because I like to clean my floors all in one go and I was sure that task took longer than 30 minutes, but so far it’s never died on me mid-use. Pretty much my only complaint is that the solution tank is really small, and goes through the water quickly. Even with the floors picked up and swept beforehand, I can only get a small section of floor done before running out of water, even on the “low” water setting. Having to constantly stop and refill the tank became such an annoyance to me that I started mixing solution in a pitcher and just pouring it on the floor as I go. This was something I would only do with my Crosswave in the event of a huge mess, and while it works out well for me it does feel stupid that I have to do it in order to make cleaning with this more efficient. A tip for everyone who buys this: if it starts to lose suction, don’t drive yourself crazy looking for a clog or some kind of mechanical issue. If there’s no apparent clog when you do your first check, run it through a couple cleaning cycles with very hot water. If it persists, change the filters. You’re welcome.

Better than I expected

This worked well - it took me awhile to actually use after I received but now I am glad I purchased. It doesn't put out as much water/cleaner as I expected, so there was no need to go over the floor again with the vacuum as the instructions said - I let dry on the floor, which is easier. It definitely cleans - used water showed that! I will now use often!

This hard floor vacuum/mop macine works well.

The convenience of a cordless, light weight machine that vacuums and mops is great. I keep the charging station with the machine tucked away in my bedroom. It works well, charges quickly and stays charged as long as I need it. It's great for a quick cleanup when my dog misses the pee pad. Emptying the dirty water tank is way better than a mop bucket full of dirty water, but bc it's such a small amount it's really dirty. The clean out cycle works well, but you still have to wash the brush and rinse the tank and filter. There is an extra brush with a place for it on the charging station. I recommend this machine.

You NEED this!

I LOVE this SO MUCH. After years of sweeping/vacuuming my hardwood floors, then Swiffer Wet-Jetting them, I had NO IDEA how FILTHY my floors were. I'm going to use this once a week over the entire apartment for as many weeks as it takes for the water to run clean. EDIT: I love this machine even more after my neighbor's kitchen sink leaked into my kitchen and dining room last night. With buckets and towels, I got the worst of it up, but Bissell did a lot of the heavy lifting. And the machine is so easy to take apart and clean! Best money I've spent in a long time!

Bissell Crosswave cleans floors better

I sooo wanted to like this product. I own the cordless Bissell Crosswave, the black one with the teal accent, and that cleans my floors very nicely. Over the months however, I was noticing that my engineered hardwood floors were getting scratches, so I decided to try this Bissell version with the softer microfiber-like roller instead. Unfortunately, this machine uses cleaning fluid faster than the Crosswave I own and the floor is still dirty, which baffes me. The pro is that it is very light weight and attractive looking. Unfortunately, it’s lightweight cleaning too, like the equivalent of swiping a surface with a wet paper towel, and it oddly uses much more cleaning solution because you have to refill it every 5 minutes (half of my kitchen). Sadly will be returning.

Wonderful upgrade

Ive been using bissel crosswaves for years and love being able to vacuum and mop at once. We have 4 kids so the floors see a lot of messes. Only down side is this bissell doesn't pick up the bigger stuff like the crosswave does so you do need to pick up bigger pieces of food or debris prior to use. The spin brush is more exposed allowed to get closer to the wall seems which is a problem with other designs leaving you having to manually clean in some areas. I love that this bisell practically glides forward itself and the self cleaning setting is a total game changer. I wish other models had this option!

So much better than a mop or swiffer!

I had 20 people coming in and out of my apartment over a weekend, so to say I was in cleaning mode is an understatement. This guy got me through all the rough spots. Were my floors sparkling before guests arrived? Check. Clean up a spilled drink before it turned the whole floor sticky? Check. Remove all the dust and dirt that got tracked in and return my floors to sparkling after everyone left? Check. The best part was I only needed one pass over my floors before I could go take a nap. Needles to say, this is now my go to tool for a quick clean! I don't need break out both the vacuum and mop anymore. And it's cordless, so I don't have to worry about needing to unplug and re-plug halfway through. And when I'm done, I turn on the self-clean feature which both cleans the vacuum for me and emits a nice, fresh scent to really seal the deal.
