Nice Boots, So Far - (Update: Excellent Boots, and I Love Them!)
Just received the Rogue Wave boots, and just wearing them around the house for now... Out of the box, the first thing I noticed was that they seem like a very high quality well-made boot, and the grip on the bottom of the sole seems outstanding... I bought these for sailing, during the colder months, and I'm now actually looking forward to trying these on a wet and heeled-over deck... :-) Regardless, I'm writing about sizing now, and as I use them I will update this review.. I usually wear a Men's 12W for most shoes, wearing lightweight socks.. But I bought these boots for sailing during the colder months, and planned to wear heavier socks with them, and perhaps even two pair.. After reading a number of reviews, and with that in mind, I up-sized to the 13's.. And happy to report, wearing a thin base-layer sock, along with a heavier sock, the 13 was the right choice.. With both pairs of socks, the width fit is slightly snug, but not tight, with extra room in the toe.. I think after a break-in period, the fit should be perfect... Exactly what I wanted.... Will wear them around the house for a few more days for now.. Update: Rained a lot here the past several days, and have been wearing them outside every day.. Absolutely love them, and they are exactly what I'd hoped.. I have been wearing a regular sock with them, and added one somewhat thin-ish insole into the boot.. Fit is perfect, and that adds additional padding as well.. I could wear these all day.. The one drawback is this.. Wearing them outside, the sole picks up some dirt and tiny things get stuck in the tread.. And if I wanted these ~only~ for wet weather outdoors, I wouldn't care. They're perfect! BUT, I also wanted these to wear while foul-weather sailing, and cleaning the bottoms of the boots is a pain.. Lots of tiny things get stuck in the tread, and it's a chore to get them out... And you just don't want dirt on or scratching a boat deck.. So, I may need a second pair... That's not terrible, but....not what I was planning on... :-/

Yellow Splotches
Ugh these were beautiful when I first received them and, don’t get me wrong, they fit and wear like a dream. But they started getting these yellow splotches. I will admit I am very rough on shoes and walk through dirt, mud, water, anything really. I expected some usual wear and tear. The reason for the four stars is because after a year, the actual boot looks brand new other than the weird yellow coloration. If I could figure out a way to get them back to white without the yellow spots, they would look like I just bought them. They do hold sweat a little but not as badly as other rubber boots I’ve owned. The padding in them has little to no wear and have helped my lower back tremendously when on the boat. Also, the sizing is perfect.

Very slip proof.
I own a pressure washing business I get on a roofs a lot that are wet, these are the best shoes I've found for the money, to walk on steep roofs. I come home every evening with dry feet wearing these boots. I've got four employees and I bought all of them a pair for safety and comfort.

Alright
I’ve been wearing xtra tuffs and nothing compares to how easy they are to take on and off and r so comfy! But I wanted to try something new out and I’ve never seen these type of cute rain boots! These are nice I got my correct size They are more fitted around the toe area It’s not the same material of xtra tuffs It’s more of a pleather material They are super cute and do keep your feet dry and are pretty affordable! If you need rain boots on a budget definitely buy these!

Size up if you want to wear heavy socks
I usually wear 10 1/2 wide in shoes. I went with the 11s. They fit great with a light weight thermal sock and kept my feet warm and dry walleye fishing in rainy 45 degree weather. I would need to go up a size if I was going to wear thicker thermal socks. Very happy with the grip and comfort.

Best deck boots
These are an incredibly comfortable fit. I wear size 11 Wide in many shoes. I got a size 12 in these. They don’t pinch or rub, and the length is perfect. They’re completely waterproof. I have a little room for socks, but probably not thick ones. My bare feet stayed warm in 41 degree weather. I’m a professional boat captain in South Carolina and these are my choice. Huk makes amazing products that are well suited for the professional and the weekender. Remember a few things: Anything waterproof will cause you to sweat. Period. So, your feet will sweat. Breathable, will not be waterproof. You can stand in a bucket of water for years, and your feet will stay dry in these. Breathable products will, in time, let water in. These are DECK boots. They’re meant for boat decks, so the sole will not mark and they grip amazingly well. Because they’re deck boots, they’re not meant for deep water! They’re for working on a boat deck where water is splashing and then drying. Generally, you’d be wearing rain pants which would cover the top and go down to the sole. They’re great for walking around in the rain, on land too! But. If you plan on wading, or encountering deep water past the ankles these are not for you.
