Good quality, but design flaw that causes pain under the ankle bone.

The shoe quality is good. The anti-slip sole is nice. The insole comfort is good. The side panel though is too tall and it causes me serious pain and tore through the skin under my ankle bones. Obviously the dimensions to my ankle bone will be different than others, but I have never had a shoe cause me pain in this area so seems to me that they should have put softer material in this area or made the side panels lower. I may not be able to wear them again because it is too painful. Was debating 2 stars but went with 3 stars given that all else about the shoe is good and given that this issue *may* be unique to the dimensions of my feet and ankles.

Great Soles

I didn't buy these for the ESD. I bought them for the steel toe and the slip resistant sole. Soles like this are the best for walking on wet or slippery surfaces. The many channels in the tread provides an escape route for the water or oil. The con of these shoes is that they are front heavy due to the steel toe. That is to be expected somewhat with a steel toe shoe, normally with boots the weight is distributed more evenly. I wore mine around the house for 2 days before I decided to keep them. I didn't want to scarf up the soles if i was going to return them.

I dont normally do reviews, but I thought this would be very helpful to people looking to buy this shoe. I work in a manufacturing environment where i am in the office, but I sometimes need to go out on the floor where safety equipment is required. So I was looking for a shoe that fit well, has the required safety features, and looks decent. I honestly was a bit concerned with a lot of the negative reviews that are on the shoe. But I think a lot of them stem from the shoe size not fitting correctly. I got the 13 size which I normally wear, they fit terribly and I could see if I walked around more how they could definitely blister up the back of your heel. I just reordered the size 12 though and they fit perfectly! Just order a size down and these shoes will treat you wonderfully I couldn't be happier!

Size is WAY OFF!

I wear a size 14 tennis shoe, and I always buy a size 13 leather shoe because leather always stretches when you get it broke in. THESE are way too big! I had to return a 13M for a 12M before i could get a shoe that didn't feel like it would just fall off my foot. Now I have a shoe that fits length and width of my foot, the steel toe is so narrow it pinches my toes together. I have been 2 weeks waiting for 5-6 day shipments for these damn shoes and i still don't have a pair for work. I'm done with Timberland shoes.

Good buy

I love these shoes! They go on easy, and are a great shoe to wear when you don’t feel like putting your boots on. The toe is like a steel toe so no worries about stubbed or smashed toes and are extremely slip resistant on slippery surfaces. Not bad looking as well. Great for working around the yard or around town.

I hate safety shoes lol

They seemed alright for a few hours then my big toes started to hurt. They also began to widen more and I tried wearing thicker socks which made it all worse. I'm just not cut out for safety shoes, happened in the past with other safety shoes. I will check in a few days to see if I can learn to wear them lol

A must buy for steel toe wearing workforce men!

Awesome shoe! I have been wearing these shoes on a flight line for 8 to 10 hours a day working on aircraft. These have been the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn as far as work shoes go. They also look very stylish and not so much like a work boot. You will need to wear a thick work sock or order a size smaller. A must buy!
