So comfortable, but heavy.

The media could not be loaded. These keen work shoes are extremely comfortable. The carbon toe is protective and they are low cut like a sneaker. The wide sizing makes them perfect for people with wide feet like me. I even wonder if I could size down a half a size. The one thing holding them back from 5 stars is that they just are heavy. Really much heavier than other keen safety toe boots I’ve had. If that doesn’t bother you, these are really a great boot!

Rugged, protective, good quality

Sor far, these shoes have held up well on work sites. They have a composite toe and they are slip resistant. They are comfortable enough for all day wear from day one of wearing. I see these lasting a while.

Another great Keen product

I’m partial to Keens, and have worn their sandals and boots for nearly 20 years. I’m normally a size 10 but ordered these in a 10W to account for the fact that I’d be wearing two pair of socks (a thin pair of liners and a thick pair of work/hiking socks) because I’m wearing these outside in the cold to work during the winter months. The 10W fits as expected, although I probably could have stuck with the regular 10 and been just fine. These are work shoes – not hiking shoes, so it’s important to know what you’re buying when considering these shoes. I can’t imagine wearing these to hike on a trail just because of the weigth alone, much less the stiff, reinforced toe, but they’re great for working in conditions where toes are at risk. The sole is typical Keen – rugged and durable, and the soles on these shoes are oil and slip resistant. These works shoes are also waterproof, which is key for my purposes – I’m currently installing a rock base along our creek to help with erosion, so I’m constantly in water and I’m moving about 20 tons of river gravel (rocks roughly the size of a large fist up to the size of a football). The rock pile shifts every time I move a load, so these Keens have saved my feet on more than a couple occasions. Based on the fact that I’m still wearing a pair of Keen sandals I bought 14 years ago, I expect these shoes to hold up through this current project and for many more to come.

Light and comfortable working shoes

I ordered the 9 wide, which for my feet is a little wider, but they work well with thick socks. They are lighter and much more comfortable than standard working shoes with metal toes.
