Run small

Run a bit small, especially for concealed carry. Other than that there great shorts

Knock-Off????

Not what I’ve grown to expect from Vertx products. The sizing is way off, I had to order a 40” waist (WTH)! I’d recommend ordering 2-3 sizes larger. These shorts are lacking the extra add-ons too…. (1) No “hidden” pockets (2) No tethers inside the pockets for keys to attach (3) No breathable mesh pockets (4) No extra material on the waistband, feels cheap Vertx, I’m not sure why you sacrificed quality, on these shorts. I’ll be surprised if they make it through a season.

Watch the Color Differences

Vertx is a leader in military and law enforcement uniforms. I have worn them for sometime now and I have no complaints on the wear and comfort. For some this next part may not be a big deal, but for me the slightest difference in color change makes a real difference. In the past I could always rely on the colors being right on the money no matter if I purchased a shirt or pants and at different times. They would all be the same. This last set of shorts was so off that I won't be able to use for my uniform purposes. It's really that much out of shade that it's of no use. Quality Control must have been sleeping that day this came across the line. Wake up Vertx.

No purpose back pockets

Gave these a 3 star rating because of the back pockets. They make absolutely no sense and have no purpose. They are too close together and pockets end up in your butt once you start walking. The shorts are built tough like the rest of vertx cargo pants but again the back pockets ride up in you and look silly from the back. $60 bucks for these shorts is steep.

Decent shorts, but absolutely zero stretch. They feel stiff when new. I may grow to like them more. Time will tell. Sturdy definitely.

Great shorts

Love these shorts. I’m not “tactical” guy, but tac gear is great for many applications aside from playing wannabe soldier. These fit great, room to move without being too “dad” looking

Husband has accepted his 40's

Nothing says you're a 40 year old dude like khaki shorts! In all honesty, these are really nice; tough material, tons of pockets, comfortable waist, etc. Hubby highly recommends them!

Received defective pair, Vertx offered to replace, but won't ship to Canada.

I'm not sure if I received a defective pair, or if all the shorts have the rear pockets mounted so low and angled horribly, they're nearly useless, unless you enjoy carrying things in your butt. I compared them to the Vertx Phantom LT 2.0 Pants, and the rear pockets are noticably lower. This is a deal breaker for me, as I like to use the rear security pocket, but don't enjoy fishing my wallet out of my buttocks.
