Warm coat

I find the zipper gets stuck quite a bit. It’s a plastic zipper. Also, when you zip it all the way up the cut is not comfortable around your neck. I just wear a scarf and don’t zipper it completely.

snug in the shoulders, loose in the waist

This is a very warm coat. It’s long and has fur on the hood so it’s great for those really cold days. It’s well made and pretty stylish. I don’t care for the way the shoulders are narrow and the rest is just straight. It means it’s uncomfortable to drive in since there isn’t much stretch and the waist sits away from my body rather than against it which allows cold air in.

Okay wow this is my favorite coat in the world

I didn't know how great it was to have a long coat--I usually try and avoid any puffy winter coats that make me look bigger than usual. But wow, was I wrong. This coat is a game changer--it's equal parts chic (with the fur hood and sewing to give it some design across the body of it) and warm!! Boy is it warm. I love the fleece, zipper pockets (a must for basically all coats, in my opinion) and the fleece, warm hood. It also has snaps and a zipper, so you can snap it shut over the zipper to really lock yourself in. The only complaint I have is every so often, I have issues with the zipper not wanting to go up, and I basically have to completely let go of it and let it settle before trying again. But overall, I would pay good money for this coat if it ever wears out on me. My daily go-to for my Midwestern winters!!!

Best practical winter coat I've ever had

This was a Xmas present, as I wouldn't have spent this much on a coat for myself, thinking (possibly incorrectly), that I could get a similar standard coat for a lot less. I went for the Baffin Island because it was slightly longer than the Baffin Bay. As well as being super warm and waterproof, (actually technically it may be only shower proof, but anyway in pouring rain it behaved very well!), the cut is really flattering as it goes in slightly at the waist. It looks good, because of the length, open with jeans - but on freezing days zipped right up it's like wrapping a 15 tog duvet around yourself, and it zips right up properly to the chin. I wasn't sure about this 'breathable' thing, but it actually works - warm, but not sweaty. The quality is evident in so many areas - the inside of the pockets are lined in a soft warm fabric, the double zip, the 'fur' is nice quality, and the material on the outside is really lovely - I absolutely love this coat! Size-wise, as a size ten - and bearing in mind it would be on top of jumpers, I ordered the medium - and it was perfect without the squashed arm syndrome even over thick jumpers. I'm toying with purchasing the Jack Wolfskin Paw gloves now... :)

Really Pleased With My New Coat

This is a really lovely coat, warm, light, comfortable, a great fit and it looks good too. Two nice deep front pockets and a good sized internal pocket for my phone. Being just over 6', I was worried about the coat length, however it comes just past my buttocks, which is fine The arm length is good too and with a 40" chest, the XL size allows me to wear a cardigan underneath my coat if necessary. Though I don't think I will need wear any additional tops underneath because the coat is lovely and warm. The hood is a little large, but not too much of a problem.

Simply the best!

Love this coat! It’s so light that I don’t know I’ve got it on other then being snuggly and warm. I ordered a medium. It’s labelled medium UK10/12 but it’s generous as I’m normally closer to a UK 14 on the bust and this is not tight at all. I’m 5’ 2” and this is a few inches above my knees in length and sleeves are a good length for me too with a cosy inner fleece cuff. The 2 way zip means I don’t have to take it off when I get in the car to drive if I don’t want to as I can just unzip the bottom. I can see it’s water repellent nature as light rain is just droplets on the surface of the fabric. I’ve taken the fur off as I don’t like it but at least I get a choice on on or off. The hood is fixed but does have a volume popper which is useful if you have a smaller head but I don’t find it restricts my view at all without the fur trim. What I really like is it doesn’t have poppers everywhere that i have to do up otherwise they hit together make an irritating sound when I walk like my last coat! I love buying and collecting coats and this is becoming my new favourite. Definitely pleased I bought it!

Amazing coat

A lightweight coat, mid length about 4 inches above the knee, I am 5ft 2. Bought M and usually a size 10-12 in coats, good fit not tight or excessively loose. Went out in 0 degrees temperature, had thermal layer and a jumper and didn’t feel cold at all. One of the best coats I’ve had. Highly recommended

A Great Jacket

A lovely well fitting jacket, just the right length and also has elastic at back which makes the jacket look really stylish. Wonderful and warm as well. The fur on the hood comes off, which allows you to wear in the spring etc
