Lovely, once you figure out assembly

As everyone has said, the instructions are garbage. I got stuck at step 4. I left it overnight and was still perplexed the next day because it wouldn't work. I even tried calling the number on one of the stickers (to no avail). Finally realized step 4 should come before 3. Things went much smoother after that. You'll run across the same issue/parts when you get to the top of the shelf. I also realized I put a couple of shelves on backward but it was too late. Still turned out fine and sturdy. When you're installing the "O" screws, they need to go in pretty far. Be sure to tighten them slowly to avoid splitting the wood. Requires some effort (for me at least). Satisfied with the finished product. Definitely good for what it costs. Also labeling all the parts before you start helps.

Ok for price

Overall sturdy and decent quality for the price. You receive multiple bags of screws and hardware that do not come labeled, so definitely took some time staring at photos to try and compare to figure out what was needed. Instructions are extremely simplified, photo only. Also be prepared for potential mislabeling, took me some time of comparing pictures to figure out that shelf labeled A was supposed to be shelf B, etc… Came with more scratches in damage then I would have liked but also painting black, so wasn’t as big of a deal for me. Beats spending $300 on a bookshelf, but if you are someone who requires very detailed instructions or are not very handy/good at troubleshooting, then may not be for you. Works great for the cost.

Like most people stated, the instructions do suck… there are only photos and no words. it’s not super hard to figure out but some things are kinda confusing… don’t try to over complicate it because you probably are doing it right, the instructions are just awful. took about an hour or two to put it together by myself, it wasn’t super hard just a little confusing! id suggest sorting and labeling the screws and stuff before hand tho because it made it a thousand times easier. without labeling it was confusing because in the actual instructions you can’t tell what’s what. kinda hard to explain but you’ll understand when you get it lol. otherwise i think this bookshelf is super cute. definitely an upgrade from what i had before and completely puts my room together. seems pretty sturdy and i love the color on it sm!! also a great price, typically i see bookshelves look like this go for a lot more.

Great looking bookshelf!

Bookshelf looks great and looks durable for how cheap the materials feel. Fits almost anywhere and I really enjoy the look of my living room with this new addition! I applied LED lights behind it to give it a nice look!

So, assembly isn’t too bad once you get it going, but, to be honest, we just left off all the brackets as it’s super sturdy. Looks great!

Durability and fit to space

It fit perfectly in the alloted closet space so no complaints...use as blanket storage on bottom & daily clothes OOTD on top & miscell on remaining shelves. Closet is reach in type with removed doors

Exactly what I needed

Took my husband about 35 minutes to put it together and he didn’t seem frustrated, haha …it fits a lot of books which is what I wanted it for, it feels sturdy, and it looks nice! Very happy with this purchase.

Better option than the ones being sold for $200

I took my time reading the reviews of this product before buying it. The common trend was that it was super hard to assemble and that there would be wood cracks and chipping throughout the process. There were also some people who said that it was easy for them. I ended up buying it since it was a cheaper option. The assembly process took 2 people and 1.5hrs. There were parts in which the screws does not at all fit the hole. The reasoning of the holes being much much smaller than the screws is to make sure the assembly of the unit would keep the unit very sturdy. However, It was hard screwing in the screws due to the small hole. I suggest using the Allen key to set the screws in place and then using a drill to make life much easier. At first we only used the Allen e key to screw them but after some time it was super painful on the fingers and hands. Throughout the process, there was no wood chipping or cracking which is good. I suggest taking your time with it to avoid the cracking. Overall, the unit is super steady and looks nice!

Just what we were after

My teenagers were wanting a ladder shelf for their bedroom, I found this one on offer and thought it was good value, I wouldn’t pay the full price for it as I think that’s too expensive but it’s worth the £40 I paid. Sturdy when built and fits a lot on it aswel as looking nice and not taking up too much space within the room! Bit disappointed I couldn’t fit the folders on any of the lower shelves as the gap is slightly too small between the shelves. But overall we are happy for price paid and I decorated it with some lights and Ivy which goes with the theme of their room

Good item. It is better to have someone to help assembling parts if you have some difficulties to keep parts in place while assembling.

Great value! Very sturdy!

Woman here. Assembled it by myself and we all know how clueless women are when it comes to assembling furniture! The directions are very clear to understand and it was fairly easy to do! Took me about 30 mins to an hour (sorry, didn’t time it!) Looks great, very sturdy and well made.

Excellent value for money

Wanted to try ladder shelving without committing a large amount of money. I thought I’d see how they look and possibly upgrade at some point. Now that they’re up and in place I don’t even need to upgrade to more expensive ones. I assembled them on my own and it was dead easy. They’re fairly heavy once up but that’s a sign of how sturdy they are. They look way more expensive than they were. I paid £40 each for two and I’m very happy with them. The wood is quite dark but it looks great.
