Exactly like my Olfa mat. Same thickness and size. It's great for using the round/circular cutters for cutting paper or fabric. It's not flimsy and it seems self forgiving - the cut lines don't seem to show. Excellent product, excellent price.

I liked the fact that it was shipped in a large flat box. , not rolled. I use it for quilting.

Great for cutting.

This is a must have if you cut material like paper or cardboard with a sharp blade like Exacto. It does not penetrate when using normal cutting force. I have used one for years.

good condition on arrival

I bought this to replace one I'd had for 15 years that had become warped, scarred, and worn too deeply to use any longer. It's nice to have a cutting mat that will lay flat on the table, has lines that are still fully visible, and doesn't have deep scars cut into it. This mat feels a little thinner than the one it replaced (same brand and size). I think sometime in the last 15 years Omnigrid has chosen to cut costs by making thinner mats.

Must Have for Quilters

I received this as a gift, along with a rotary cutter. The mat is big and covers my kitchen table. Plenty of room to spread out and get precise measurements and cuts.Definitely recommended for anyone who sews or quilts.

Simply the BEST!

40+ years of sewing and quilting have proven that this Omnigrid mat is the BEST! Don't bother with any other brands as most are difficult to read. You won't be disappointed!!!

Absolutely a must have

My sister led me into the craft of making quilts. Her best and most repeated advice is thus: you are making a heirloom, use the best quality fabrics and tools available. I came home from s quilting retreat where I used a cutting mat for the first time and immediately bought an OmniGrid 24x36 May. Almost 5?years and 41 quilts later I am buying another, not because it wore out but because I left it under the mattress in our motorhome ???? ( a great place to store it but in the haste of selling the old motorhome, I overlooked it) What did I like about it? Everything! The mat stays in place on my work table ( hubby built me a work table out of furniture grade plywood) I use both sides of the mat, the grid lines are true, the angle lines are easy to use and invaluable and it is truly self healing. OmniGrid is my go to for quilting supplies, I have many of their rulers. I have given this cutting mat to several friends who are delighted with them. I can honestly say that I have not encountered anything I do not like about this mat

Best purchase ever!

I bought this to replace a 20 year old Omnigrid mat which had still been working fine until a friend using it placed an iron too close to it, causing it to warp. My previous mat had been 18" by 24". I'm secretly glad that my old one was damaged because I replaced it with this larger size and I love it! I don't have to rotate my fabric so my cuts stay on the mat. I knew I'd stay with Omnigrid so I did some price comparison and this was a very good price for a 24" by 36" mat.
