I work out in the heat of the day because my job requires that I do so. I thought this towel would be a good purchase. True, it does tend to cool me down some, but not enough to justify wearing a big bulky towel around my neck. I just drink a lot of ice cold water or gatorade instead. Maybe it will become more handy when the temp gets above 100 degrees. Will try it again, but worry about the damp clothe washing off my sunscreen from my neck and chest. My hands get too dirty outside to be reapplying sunscreen every time I use this cloth.

Works, but needs frequent re-soaking
Works well in hot Nevada summer. The water evaporates from it very fast and it needs re-soaking in water every hour or so. If you use it not only for cooling but also for wiping off your sweat, you will have to wash it quite frequently - it will get smelly otherwise. Just use antibacterial soap to hand wash and rinse thoroughly - I haven't tried ammonia suggested in the manual (I really hate the ammonia smell).

Kept Me Pretty Cool
Feels very much like a shammy, especially when dry. Kept me pretty cool without getting me soaking wet, but just wasn't as cooling as another type towel I tried. Still worked. I had no problem with any skin irritation and I did not thoroughly wash it before using.....just rinsed it out a bit.

While not exactly what one would consider 'attractive' attire, the ArtiCloth works great for cooling during intense hot flashes (and let's be honest - a bright blue cloth worn around the neck is better than rivulets of sweat running down face, neck and back!).

Should have bought one earlier in the summer. it makes my skin feel a little clammy though which is kind of odd but ingeneral it does the trick for cooling

must wash before 1st use!! (has a chemical smell and will leak blue dye, so wash well) works great on hikes and on warm days in the sun.
