A Chew Toy, what do you expect?

The dog part is simple, My dog (German Shepherd mix) adopted the new chew immediately. She continues to chew on the bone many days later. It seems, at this early point, to be lasting well. People part: The chew doesn’t seem to drop pieces, unlike some other chews, so I’m not picking them up or vacuuming constantly. After several good chews the bone is pretty grotty looking but she is still enjoying it. Weird, bad thing; the well used chew is like velcro on some fabrics, gravity and a mild shake isn’t enough to free the chew. When this one wears out I’ll be looking for another.

Cute

My dog loves these kind of bones, and he likes cheese, so I thought, surely a winner! He wasn't as excited about it as I hoped, he doesn't chew it much, but he does hoard it and place it on his bed with his preferred toys, so he does like it. I took off one star because I was surprised with the packaging. The bone was attached to the cardboard with a strip of plastic around its middle. the ends were open to the air, so I worried that the scent had dissipated. Usually they are completely incased in plastic.

Great for aggressive chewers

Love how thick this bone is, have 4 aggressive American Bullys that can destroy a bone in-minutes that is suppose to last for days/hours so finding this was Great ! They all chew on it daily and haven’t put a dent in it so very happy with it, great for aggressive chewers and good price well Worth it !

It lasted longer than a week

It’s been more durable than the usual power/aggressive chewer stuff but it’s not going to last much longer.

Great for aggressive chewers

My Great Dane 12 month old puppy...115 lbs chews up everything...except the nylabones. She loves it. Usually she eats her toys but with this one she chews and chews it. I breaks off in 1/4 inch digestible strips so there is no worry about sharp pieces. Great chew toy!

Strong chewer

Great quality, great size. My pup is the most aggressive chewer I've ever seen.... and this toy actually withstood her (probably due to the shape). Worth the buy.

Smaller than expected

Durable but smaller than I expected for my bully and for my husky mix. My bully can fit almost the whole thing in his mouth so has to be watched with care.

Mostly destroyed after an hour

This toy bone arrived promptly. Today I washed and dried it. I then filled the holes with peanut butter and placed it in the freezer for an hour to solidify. I gave it to my female staffie whilst I attempted to work from home. Fortunately she was sat beside me. Less than an hour later it was partially destroyed. There are no holes left at either end to put food inside, the plastic is very rough and small pieces had detached. It has gone in the bin. I know staffies are very powerful when chewing but this was sold for 'extreme' chewers and it didn't even last a day. I'm disappointed and will not be buying any more from this manufacturer

My dog made a huge dent within minutes

My dog loves a chew and I've had Nylabones before so thought this one looked good. Within minutes she began making dents in it and within an hour both ends were really rough. She then proceeds to easily pick bits off it and leave them everywhere. Worse still, I picked it up and cut my finger (actual blood!) because it was so sharp. I'll stick to antlers in the future.

Fill the indentations!

For a big and strong dog, or the intense chewer, this is an excellent toy. Like similar products from Nylabone, this in itself is a good toy with enough texture and variety to keep the dog happy. But the addition of the small holes/indentations in this Nylabone means that you can put small amounts of paste or soft cheese in them for an added bonus - great for the dog as although the quantity of food is small, the size and shape of the indentations makes it more difficult for the dog to lick - brilliant. Keeps the dog amused (frustrated?!) for ages!

Not sure..

I didn't realise that this 'chew' was smooth shiny plastic with no area of 'grip' - so my dogs find it hard to hold in their mouths. I have used it to fill the holes with cheese spread/peanut butter and pop it in the freezer, they then enjoy spending some time licking it, but other than that, they don't bother with it at all, so I think it was expensive for the amount of enjoyment they get from it.

NOT the size described

Be aware the described size for the medium is incorrect It does NOT measure 19.05 x 11.43 x 3.05 cm; The medium actually measures 12 x 3 x 2.8 cm; as described on the packaging. They have the sizes for the large and medium mixed up. This one was returned as way too small for the size of the dog intended for.
