Good filter

I bought the wrong width. The 5" seems 2" too narrow. I have yet to see if the 6" is really 6" but here's hoping. Anyway, I just put them in anyway, even though they're 2" too narrow. I hate returning things. Hassle. And it wirjs fine. Do place at the output side if this happens to you. If you place it at the inout side it can fall over. On the output side, the frame holds it right. This is a horizontal mounting. If your filter is vertical you may be forced to return them. Sure, you could cut 1x2 wood as a spacer.....just return them. The air seems very clean. Plenty of throughput even though narrower than I intended to buy. I guess my review doesn't apply to careful buyers. My brain works, it just likes its free time.

Highly Recommended.

I have bought these a number of times over the years. Every time I notice my house getting a little "stuffy" feeling, I check the filter and end up replacing it with another of these. Looking at my purchase history, I probably don't replace these as often as one 'should' replace a furnace filter, but with a 5" filter I don't think you need to replace them as often as you would if you instead required a 1" or 2" filter. This is a good value and these are good filters. I highly recommend these if your furnace will take a 5" filter.

Everything else is great about this filter

Bought these as the normal ones I get off amazon where out. Those filter size are 19 5/8" x 24 1/8 x 4 7/8 these filters actual size are 19 7/8" x 24 7/8" x 4 3/8" both are listed as 20 x 25 x 5 but I had to slightly crush the end of this one to get it to fit. Everything else is great about this filter.

A quality filter at a lower price than OEM

The Nordic filter is basically the same quality filter as the manufacturer's version, only much less expensive. The two have basically the same specs and when you physically compare them side by side the construction is virtually identical. This filter is not a cheap, low quality replacement, it's a less expensive alternative to the manufacturer's filter.

I ordered the two pack expecting them to come as pictured with the MERV 13 clearly on each filter, it didn't. The only place that the MERV 13 is even listed is a check mark on the shipping box with the other MERV levels listed, so there isn't any clear way to determine if these filters really meet the MERV 13 level or not. My box also came crushed in one corner which partially crushed one of the filters but I can't blame that on the manufacturer.
