Love this monitor
We bought this open box as a secondary monitor for our room before baby moves to crib. New parents installed fancy smart monitor over crib before realizing she wouldn’t be sleeping in there for months. Sure it doesn’t have the “smart” features of a wi-if monitor but we might like this one better. It’s used at grandmas now mostly due to the large screen and noise settings. The picture is excellent. The pan of the camera works great. We set it on a dresser next to the bassinet and it’s flexible enough it could look down into the bassinet and give us a full view. Love that you can move camera view from the parent station and doing so is SILENT. there is no major distraction/light on the camera to keep baby awake. The screen is huge. When the volume is off on the parent monitor there are still red/green lights to let you know if there is sound being picked up from the camera (the visual aid is helpful for grandma who can’t hear quite as well). The screen is incredibly bright which is good unless you want to check on baby while sleeping in the same room (just me then??). Also love that you can turn off the screen to save battery but keep monitor on for sound only.

At last, the best baby monitor on Amazon
This is our FOURTH baby monitor that we have purchased on Amazon, and I can finally say that we found one that works great and is an excellent value. The first two baby monitors that we purchased were made by "Good Baby" and "Eufy" had problems were they FROZE in the middle of the night. Our baby was crying hysterically for who knows how long, because the audio was stopped, and the video was frozen on these two old monitors from Amazon. Have to returning those, the next monitor we got was the "infant optics pro" monitor, which cost $200, and has issues with video quality, as well as with the temperature reading. It definitely was not worth $200... Finally, we purchased this monitor by LeapFrog. This is a well-built monitor, with an excellent camera, which you can control remotely. There's also a color night vision, which really is just a low light camera, so if it's too dark it doesn't work, but either way, if using that camera or the regular night vision, the video quality is crisp and clear. This monitor also has the best range out of all the monitors we tried. Our house is old and has lead in the walls, but this monitor is able to get past that better than any of the others that we tried. There are LEDs that light up on the side when the baby is cry, so you can see the crying even if your audio is low and the LCD screen is turned off. The temperature monitor is accurate to a 10th of a degree, which is the best we found out of any of the monitors, and also, a humidity meter is shown as well. The few minor shortcomings of this monitor are in my opinion related to the volume control. To adjust the volume, you first have to press a separate volume button, then press up and down on some arrow keys that normally control the camera position. I just wish that there were dedicated up and down volume buttons. Secondly, when the screen is off, and the volume is mute completely, there's no indication via LEDs or any other feature to remind you that the monitor is muted, aside from when the baby is crying and those LEDs light up on the side. Aside from these minor issues, this is an excellent baby monitor, and after testing several others that are very popular on Amazon, I would recommend this to anybody to monitor their baby.

My eyes in the back of my head
Perfect monitor to watch the elderly when I'm in another part of the house. The alert warning when there is the slightest movement or sound is an exceptional quality even at night. Picture quality is top notch.

Works really well for us
as grandparents who babysit. The picture quality is actually better than the more expensive wi-fi unit my daughter bought for herself a year ago. She wanted wi-fi so she could check in on the baby herself while we babysat. Now that the baby is over a year old, she finally has confidence that we know what we are doing, so text messages are enough for her. I highly recommend this system. It was easy to set up and the controls are easy to use. The battery is plenty for us, but we only use it for naps so have no experience with it over night. In short, we are very satisfied with this system.

Best video monitor
This is our second Leapfrog video monitor. We had the old model that did not pan or scroll plus it was connected to WiFi. The WiFi had interference when it was bad weather and the camera would buffer so we replaced with this. We love the features and will only buy this brand from now on!

soooooo much better than the wifi....
used to use a wifi camera but, of course, when the internet went down it was useless. it would glitch and not even load sometimes, also made a noise and flashed when viewing. this is instant picture every time. the nightlight is lovely for finding lost pacifier in the dark without blinding us. we dont use the sounds bc we have a speaker that plays music already and when i tried it my 16 month old was like wth is that lol she can hear me and i can hear her clearly. i have an old house with high ceilings and plaster walls so i dont get the range i probably could in a modern home. but my room is under hers and the living room is next to my room and i get clear connection in those rooms 100% of the time. the zoom is clear and pan covers almost her whole room and night vision is much more clear than the blink i was using. i can actually see her face and tell if her eyes are open or closed.

Night vision does not exist...it is a night light that turns on
Picture is very clear, battery life is good so far. Didn't realise the night vision only works if you turn on the night light on the camera...

Fantastic Monitor!
I have tried 5 different baby monitors since my son was born in August. I've finally found a good one! This monitor is amazing. The picture quality is so clear, including the night mode. I love the 8x zoom feature and the night light on the camera that is easy to turn on and off with just a tap. The battery life is phenomenal (I still plug it in to charge overnight). My only con about this camera is there is a 1-2 second delay with the sound. So sometimes I will hear my son before the monitor picks up his noise.

Stopped working the day we brought baby home
I was really excited about the functionality of this monitor but it stopped working before we got to use it. We set it up a couple weeks in advance, briefly tested it, and didn’t turn it on again until we brought baby home. As soon as we went to use it it lost connection. We tried everything, removing the power cord and plugging it back in works briefly but within minutes it disconnects again. The return window on our order changed without notice so we’re stuck with it without our money back to buy something more reliable.
