We had several dripping faucets that my handy husband decided to tackle on his own rather than hiring a plumber. This was an easy part to replace and was the solution to the problem.

why these are moen, but half the price than if you bought them from moen i have no idea. but they are the real deal, fit perfect and install easy. I heard the old ones can be tough to remove. Well , i must have got lucky because the old ones pulled out with not too much effort. just grabbed with pliers and pulled straight up. new one snap in right in the slots. just make sure you check the allignment of the old ones first, take a pic with your phone. they can only go in 180 degrees either way, but it might be tough to pull them back out should you put them in 180 degrees the wrong way.

So happy

My hot water handle on my kitchen sink was dripping like crazy, I couldn't stand wasting all that water. I was constantly shutting off the wanted to the sink when I wasn't using it so I didn't waste water. I bought this, watched a YouTube video and it was soooo w easy to replace. Now no dripping at all!!!! Thank you!

Read directions for removal of the old one or, better yet, buy the special tool.

Great price for name brand product. It can be difficult to see the model number for your faucet as it is stamped under the faucet spout.

Genuine Moen cartridge. Great price.

This Moen 1224B cartridge is a genuine Moen cartridge and it works very well. The price was much better than any of the local box stores. The cartridge was needed to replace a dripping two-handle bathroom faucet and it fit perfectly. Tip: if you do not want to buy a cartridge puller, reattach the handle after removing the cap-nut that holds the cartridge in place. Then pull out the cartridge. You may have to pry or jiggle it to get it out and you may need to use some force. If you are concerned about he handle cracking,, then the cartridge puller tool is the way to go. The new cartridge went in smoothly and sealed perfectly.

Older model of valve but fit is perfect.

The "B" model is the older version of this valve and therefore harder to find; the kitchen faucet I repaired is at least 10 years old so required the B model. It fit perfectly. However the attached instructions didn't show my particular model of faucet so I had some difficulty in disassembling the old valve in order to replace it.
