Impossible deal to beat from what I can tell

For me, it's real simple, I'm a senior citizen bachelor who despises shopping for the mundane necessities of life with a passion. The last couple of years, I've been buying the non-brand unbleached 8-12 cup filters for about $14-$15 p/thousand and felt I was getting a good deal. For a couple of bucks more, I'm getting a couple of hundred more and a name brand. 5+ stars and I'll see the seller in about 2 years. :-)

The best price for filters buying in bulk

Fits my 10-cup Bonavita perfectly with no 'shaping' needed and cheap!

I have a 10-cup Bonavita which uses flat-bottomed filters (as opposed to the v-shaped ones) and I've been using Bunn 10-cup filters for years. The Bunn filters had to be sort of shaped to fit correctly as they were really too large. I know that Melita filters are supposed to be very good, but I was never willing to pay for them as the Bunn ones seemed fine. However, I suddenly saw this pack of 1200 Melita filters for the exact price (1.6 cents each, in large quantity) as the Bunn and tried them, and they are great. Why? Because they not only fit perfectly (without shaping, just drop them in the holder) but are a very delicate paper. I have read that using paper (rather than a gold mesh filter) blocks out some of the "coffee is bad for you" things, and I like the lack of any sediment when using paper filters. But I like that the Melita are so delicate that they work and are so easy to use.

Standard #4 Filter Type Compatible

These work great in a #4 filter coffee maker and are much appreciated because the cost is less than a 3rd of the current standard for #4. Not everyone wants to buy packs of 80-100 that will last maybe 1-2 months and this purchase should last ages. The bottom is flat, not pointed, but makes no difference since the hot water shapes it to machine and you still have a non-bleached quality filter at top value. For comparison, if you were to order 1200 #4 filters at 6$ for the standard 80 count you would be paying $90.

What can we say about a coffee filter?

It has no aroma of its own. Good. It doesn't add any taste. Good. It tips out of the basket into the trash without falling apart and spreading the grounds. Good. That's three positive home runs. That's about it. Will order again when needed.
