Finally found a suit I love for my full figure!!

I love this swimsuit!! And, I don't think I have ever said that about a baiting suit in my adult life. ???? I am an hourglass shape, with my bottom half bigger than my top. I have been buying two piece swimsuits with a tank style top and shorts bottom because I could get different sizes. But I find bathing suit shorts usual ride up my legs when I walk and in the water the tank top fills with water and floats away from my body- revealing too much. So I decided to give this one piece a try based on other good reviews. The suit is pretty. I bought the blue one, and the colors are a little brighter than they appear in the picture and there is gold accents that I couldn't see online (but knew to expect from other reviews). But truly, the suit could look like anything and I would still love it because of how it FITS!! For me, the best part is the "girl leg." There is a lot of fabric making up the leg/hip/butt area. The suit has a "gathered" look all over, which allows you to position the legs the way you need them without altering the look of the suit. I could pull the legs down around the tops of my thighs like a 50's style suit, or let it follow the line where my leg and hip meet. Either way, it FULLY covers my butt and doesn't move around. My next favorite part is the arm hole. Sounds funny, I know, but I appreciate that the arm hole comes up higher on my side than most other suits. I am large busted, and the higher sides ensures I had appropriate coverage even when I leaned forward. The fabric is comfortable inside and out. We recently spent a week at the beach and I would have the suit on all day. I stayed comfortable and confident. It was so nice to spend time splaying with my kids rather than fighting a swim suit or hiding under a coverup. The suit does not make me magically skinny, it didn't disguise that I am overweight, there is no suit that could accomplish that! But what I realized while wearing this suit is that when I wear suits that are supposed to minimize my size, they actually make me more self-conscious. Wearing a suit that fits the body I have and staying in place freed me to enjoy the reason I was wearing a suit to begin with. To give a honest review I will point out a few minor drawbacks: - For me I felt the size was a little too large. It's usually a good thing to find you need a smaller size, but when ordering online it helps to be able to trust the size. i generally wear between an 18 and 20 in most pants, so I went with the 20 to ensure my bottom half would fit in the suit. After trying it on, I feel certain the 18 would have been plenty! I didn't have enough time before our trip to exchange it so I went with it as is and it was fine. I just think I would have loved it even more in a smaller size. I am short and really short-wasted. The suit is longer-wasted than I am...but that is always true for me for all types of clothes. If I were taller or longer-wasted, the size may have been a little more appropriate- so take that into consideration. - There is virtually no bust support. While I felt covered at all times, some support would be nice when you are going to wear the suit all day. Again, a smaller size may have offered me a little more structural support, or at least pressure. I would love to see this suit offered in other colors.

The suit is made of polyester and is more durable in the pool

As I go to the pool several times a week I was pleased to see the fabric is more durable and is a comfortable suit in the water

Nice suit for bigger gals that want a little more cover-up.

Please note: The tag on the suit says "Hard Cups". I am not sure why the description says soft foam. The hard cups are firm. Not plastic hard, but molded into a very thin and firm (slightly pointy) foam cup. This makes it a little strange, but I don't think I will end up with nip pointy showing through since they extend past my boobs a little. For a big gal with moderate size chest, it is also a bit nice that it makes me look a little bigger in the chest. Just wish they were not on the pointy side. One big benefit of the thin but firm cups is that the suit should dry much quicker than those that have a softer and thicker foam. This will be a major plus on my vacation where we will need to pack up everything almost every morning and don't want wet suits. However, I fear crushing the cups and creating creases in them, so will roll some socks into the cups when packing into a suitcase to keep their shape. Over all, it isn't terribly flattering, but it helps cover up a bit if you need a little more cover-up like I do. I think a darker color would be more flattering. I wear size 18 "petite" pants and am barely 5' 2" and this size 18 suit fits well... not tight at all. If you like your suits tighter, you may want to go down a size, but I don't think this is meant to be worn tight. I think it would work for someone up to 5' 8", because the two-button shoulder straps could probably be set to hold on one button... but I am not sure it would be good for someone much taller than that. Another reviewer said they don't like the sides coming down right to the thigh, but I really like that feature. I have not tried it out yet, but I am pretty sure this is the first swimsuit that won't ride up painfully when hitting the pool from a water-slide. I purchased it on sale here for a little over $10 and will be very happy with it at that price... I am not sure it would be worth more than $20 though.

Comfortable and durable in the pool.

I love Maxine’s bathing suits, especially for aquafit. I have been using them for a number of years and have always found them to be comfortable and durable.

Comfortable and Flattering

Love it. I am 5' 10" and the suit fits well. The suit itself looks great and hides flaws and keeps everything where it should.
