Great little waffle iron
After reading various mixed waffle iron reviews, I ordered this Belgium Waffle Iron 4/3/23 and received it 4/4/23. I'm writing this review on 4/5/23. Couldn't wait to use it, as I've never had one before. This morning I made delicious plant-based waffles (I'm vegan) out of oatmeal from a recipe I found online. Just throw the oatmeal, plant-based milk and nut-butter, applesauce and other minor ingredients into a blender and blend. Couldn't have been easier. The recipe suggested throwing out the instructions for any waffle iron regarding using a light/beep, etc. for the waffle being done, so I decided to take that advice, which was to wait until there was no steam coming from the iron (to determine readiness) and to wait an extra 5 minutes after the light notes being ready before pouring in the batter. My waffles were perfect!!! Very crisp. After each one cooked, I placed it on the oven rack (no plate) to maintain crispness at 200 degrees. My only complaint is the measuring cup that comes with the iron is crap. The directions say something about ml readings on the cup, but the actual cup reading isn't metric. I just used a ladle I had and used 2 full scoops of the ladle to pour into the iron. It worked fine. I didn't take off for this. I didn't use any oil, as the iron is non-stick. Just make sure the iron is very hot before pouring the batter. Clean up was easy. Also, I like the way the iron can be stored on it's side for minimal storage. I know I have only used the iron once, but very surprised how the iron performed and how reasonably priced it was. If I have any issues with the iron in the future, I will update this review.

Great Double Waffle Iron - Great Buy
I ordered the waffle iron for my daughter who planned a sleepover with a bunch of “greedy” … I mean “hungry” high school seniors who wanted waffles for breakfast in the morning. The waffle iron was easy to assembly, wash and use. The instructions were perfect! The how-to instructions guided you on every aspect of use. I love that there was a scoop included to guide you on how much mix to use. The waffles came out perfect! The girls loved them. Some liked them soft, some preferred crunchy. I could easily adjust the settings for each iron. Either way, the ladies wanted seconds and it was easy to accommodate them with a dual iron! I told you they were greedy! I recommend the purchase especially if you have a large family, frequent sleepovers, or like to plan ahead. I made extra waffles and put them in zip locks baggies in the refrigerator. They were reheated in the toaster oven and tasted great even 2-3 days later. We also stored some in the freezer and toasted them in the toaster. The only downside is that the waffle iron takes up a lot of countertop space. So I store it in the cabinets. Otherwise, it’s simply a great buy!

Heats up quickly!
Works wonderfully with the exception of the fact that you must be very mindful that the tab to open the waffle maker is incredibly hot and you must use something to protect your fingers from burning in order to open it. I was also somewhat disappointed that as Belgian waffle maker, it does not really allow the waffle to rise to its full potential. I sort of wish that I had paid a bit extra for a proper Belgian waffle maker, since I use a scratch recipe that includes yeast and I make the batter the night before. :-(

So far so good...
I've only used it twice, but no complaints. This is an entry-level waffle iron, so don't expect it to be top-of-the-line. For the price, I'm happy with it. Noticed a little plastic smell during first use, but not bad at all. Instructions recommend pouring no more than 1/2 cup of batter at a time to start. I didn't listen and poured 2/3 or so instead. Batter leaked out. Be warned. (My bad.) Good news is, it STILL made a great waffle the first time and cleaned up easily, even the outside! Still experimenting with heat settings; 4 is too soft for me, 5 is darker somewhat crispy. Will test MAX setting next.

Great buy!
I’ve been using this multiple times a week since I bought it! It works fantastic and makes great waffles! 10/10 recommend. I read a ton of other reviews on waffle makers. This was a great buy for an affordable price.

Waffles Anyone?
I absolutely love this waffle maker. I have another larger square waffle maker, and am always putting too much batter, or not enough batter. Makes a mess, hard to clean. This waffle maker, however, is a dream. It comes with a measuring cup, so you always get the right amount of batter in the maker. You can set the cook time to make it as crispy or as soft as you like. It is teflon coated so it cleans really easily. I just lightly spray with cooking oil before putting batter in, waffle comes out easy. Easy to clean afterwards. I highly recommend this waffle maker. Just the right size, also.

Buy This One!
I honestly didn't want to buy a waffle maker, thinking that I wouldn't use it enough but, frozen waffles taste horrid and are ridiculously overpriced - so I bought the Chefman. It works GREAT and makes a beautiful full size waffle. It's super simple to use: pour in 1/2 cup batter on setting 5 and you get a wonderfully crisp on the outside, completely cooked on the inside, dark golden brown, perfect, thick waffle. The green timing light indicates when your waffle is done. No need to peek or flip your waffle. Just remove your waffle with a silicone spatula to protect the non stick surface. Clean up is a breeze, just wipe with a paper towel. It can be stored vertically on the counter or in the cupboard and it takes up very little space. Waffles are now on my weekly menu plan.

Perfect Waffle
This waffle maker works perfectly. It heats and cooks perfectly using settings dial, cooks quickly, lid locks and lifts easily and has overflow chanel. It comes with measure cup and instructions. I made a slightly thinner Krusteaze batter with chopped candied pecans. Mmmm good. If you enjoy smaller round waffles I recommend this unit.

A nice little unit!
I've had this waffle maker about a month now. I've tried a few different recipes for buttermilk waffles and I also tried making Belgian liege waffles, and they've all turned out really well. This waffle maker is lightweight and compact. I do find waffles turn out better on the darker side (4 or 5 on the machine), as they turn out nice and crispy then with fluffy interiors. The non-stick surface on this machine is also rather good. So far I haven't found a need to spray down the machine with extra oil. In general the waffle maker also cleans up easily. If waffle better gets into the plastic latch that closes the unit shut, it can be quite difficult to clean as there are lots of little grooves for batter to get into. As long as you don't pour too much batter in your maker, that won't happen. The two light system works okay for indicating heating and doneness. I would prefer a digital timer to take the guesswork out of things, but the two light system works well enough. In general I'm happy with my purchase. I think this unit is well made and well priced.

Solid waffle maker
I’ve had it for a few months now and have used it to make traditional waffles, HK style bubble waffles, potato waffles and croffles. The non stick coating works well and I just wipe it down with a damp paper towel after use. I haven’t had any issues with chemical smells. It heats up pretty quickly even on the second highest setting. The blue light is a nice feature since it tells you when the waffle is finished cooking or when the plates are preheated enough for the next waffle. I’ve been able to make crispy on the outside waffles with a fluffy middle, but I believe that has more to do with the recipe than the waffle iron. It also does non crispy waffles if you lower the temperature setting. The overflow gutter works as advertised to contain spills and so far I only spilled once when I overfilled it and it squeezed out the back. I should mention this shipped in the original box without any outer larger box or padding and the first one came to me with a shattered plastic casing on the bottom. I shipped it back and was able to get a replacement from Amazon for no extra cost. The second arrived in perfect condition.

Easy and great results!!
I bought this for my son as he eats frozen waffles on a daily basis. This little machine is wonderful!! It makes a good sized Belgium waffle in no time. I just received it yesterday and, so far, have made the batter out of the instant pancake mix (there is is measurement for waffles) and I couldn't believe how nice they turned out. I was a little too scant for the first one because I didn't want it to overflow and ended up with a couple tiny holes in the waffle...no big deal. I've discovered that if you fill the iron from the middle and let it "seep" to inside of the first row of 'squares' it turns out well :) It's easy to clean and sits vertical on the counter for every day use not taking up a lot of space. Two thumbs up for sure!!!!

Excellent waffle maker
Best waffle maker I have ever owned. Nice and crispy on the outside (and temperature is controllable), and the right amount of chewy on the inside. Cooks fast, and -- for a waffle maker -- reasonably easy to clean. The overflow "moat" is a great design addition - less mess. The only thing I didn't like was the included pouring cup -- if you actually fill it up, the waffle maker overflows (even the overflow rim). There are 2 fill levels ('thin' and 'thick') embossed on the transparent cup (and barely even visible) but why make the capacity bigger than the waffle iron can hold? That's counterintuitive - dumb design.

Makes great waffles but..
The product works great for making waffles but on my second time using it the latch to close the waffle iron broke. So now I have to fiddle with it to get it to close and open which seems a bit dangerous as it gets quite hot from the steam. The broken latch also doesn’t allow me to store it in an up right position. Pretty disappointed
