Perfect, if you know what you’re getting!
Beautiful finish, heavyweight handle, love the classic but unfunny lines of the Addison trim. The distressed nickel is a great match for other hardware companies’ pewter finish without the plasticky look of Schlage’s pewter finish. A little confusing in the listing, but all you are getting is what is pictured - the exterior handle with through bolt (for lower part of the handle) and deadbolt cylinder and trim with keys. You’ll need to order the interior thumbturn toggle/trim for the deadbolt, and the interior lever or knob (available sold as combo packs on Amazon, so you can choose which handle you prefer). The interior bolt, latch, and strike plates (along with all screws) will be included with the interior fittings. As another reviewer mentioned, the exterior handle did not come with the little through-bolt washer cover (apparently an oversight in their product packing phase). I simply called Schlage’s customer service line (888-805-9837), told them it wasn’t in the box, and they immediately sent me out a new one free of charge. Took about 2 minutes and the customer service agent was friendly, understanding, and easy to talk to.

Beautiful and Elegant Door Knob - This is Only the Outside of the Entry Set
Beautifully made, Heavy duty Door Pull. The square rosette takes these doorknobs to a whole new level of elegance. They are very dark - Almost black but the burnishing on the edges makes them pop!. These knobs even made cheap tract home doors look good. This is the outside set for an entry door. The inside knobs must be purchased separately. You cannot buy a complete entry set with the Addison rosettes. For some reason, Scalage ships the complete entry set without interior rosettes so you just get plain knobs. You can however buy the inner knobs separately to match this front entry set for a uniform look. The construction of this handle set is solid metal. The moving parts move easily without binding or wobbling like you get with cheaper brands. The throw on the deadbeat was considerable longer than the old lock we were replacing and the strike on the Schlage was deeper and smaller so we had to do some drilling and filling and painting to install the Schlage lock. This would have been a problem if our jambs had not been painted.

Does not stand up to weather
The handle is easy to install and looked great when first installed. I bought matching interior passage, locking, and dummy handles that still look great and work perfectly. The finish of the exterior handles has cracked and flaked away. By year three, the handles looked like severely weathered antiques. Now, after 4 years, they look horrible next to the freshly painted door. So disappointing from the Schlage company.

Very attractive
Looks very good, but not quite as nice as the similar Baldwin item (which unfortunately was only available in oil-rubbed bronze, not black). One thing that is not as nice as the Baldwin is that the Schlage part just above the handle is not one piece with the handle (the Baldwin equivalent is a single casting), so the handleset can end up looking crooked unless one really cranks down on the screws to make it very tight.

Easy to install.
Looks great, good quality and super easy to install. I was just replacing an old lockset and this new set took me about 10 minutes to install as it is pretty much foolproof. Hint: If you are drilling the bottom little hole go for the middle location on the plan so if you goof up you have room for error as it is adjustable. Also be patient with installing the little cap on the inside that covers the screw as it is easy to bend it.

Great selection and fast delivery.
Overall, we are pleased with this product. The selection, price and speed of delivery were excellent. I'm reserving some praise as time will tell; we ordered this handleset to replace the original one we had installed less than 5 years earlier which broke and couldn't be repaired. Same brand and as close to the original model as was available. The antique pewter finish was a little different...the original one was distressed-looking which I preferred.
