Great quality and easy to cut if desired!!

This piece is strong and much thicker than I was expecting but it’s easy to cut if needed and it’s easy to install too. I had to glue it as the floor is uneven but I hope it lasts. Overall it looks great and much better than the gap I had before!

Wrong size

We have used these for quite some time and have always been pleased. However, this last order I had an issue with 2 of them. One was missing a chunk of wood in the middle and the second was cut short. The end of that one was painted green (I am assuming that meant is was not a good piece and should not have been shipped).

Good product, but suitability depends on what you need.

I purchased three of these and the first one I opened was warped beyond being usable (it is wood and wood warps). The second one was fine. It installed easily and looks great. However, height of the area for the tile to rise above the base floor is 9/16" and my tile only rises less than 7/16" above the floor, so there is a huge gap. To fix this, I will have to shave off the bottom of the strip using a table saw, first cutting the 1/8" off the bottom of the part that fits in the plastic floor strip, and then flipping it over and cutting 1/8" off the bottom of the part that touches the linoleum on the kitchen floor. In other words, modifying the strip in this way for a perfect fit is a difficult task. Hopefully the photo will help you understand what I mean.

Looks great easy to stain.

Thought I wrote a review. Appears to not have submitted. Great product. I ordered 2 for 2 different doors, one was damaged but I made it work and no one will notice but me. I didn’t want to deal with waiting for another one and needed to complete my tile to laminate project. I took off one star for the damaged product packed and already opened on arrival.

Almost perfect

It’s great, but the hardware was missing

Easy, perfect transition

Cut off 6" to fit my case opening and with coat of varnish it fit like a glove - perfect transition from my laminate floor to tile. For the record I used 1/4" subfloor and 1/4" tile (and thin set of course) but the top of the transition and the tile couldn't be more perfect. Plus the track it goes in makes installation a breeze.

Strong and easy to install.

Used this as a transition piece from laminate floor to real hard wood floor. Looks beautiful and was easy to stain to match floor.

Easy install

It looks very nice and it is a decent product very thick wood. The only problem that I have was mine came warped. I had to cut off most of it but it still curved up as you could see in the picture on your left.
