good outlet

I installed it in my garage where I can charge my phones in the same time while playing music etc. It works well.

Great way to add USB without needing a wall wart

I replaced a couple outlets with these switches so I can get USB without needing the adapter. The only complaint I have is that you cannot use these if the outlet is "switched". Meaning if one side of the outlet is tied to a light switch you cannot use this outlet, or you will give up the switched capability. The outlet is a little fatter than the standard outlet but it still fit into the electrical box and was very straight forward to install. Be sure to turn off power at the breaker box before you install. No sense in electrocuting yourself.

Love the USB function

I was excited that this receptacle fit into our old, small metal boxes. The USB plugs have freed up the receptacle for other things, and I don't need the plug-in base to the USB cord, as it fits directly into the slots. It charges very quickly, and I am very happy with this product. Wish I had bought more of them when I redid my kitchen. They look great with a stainless cover plate.

If you have an outlet, you need USB ports today. We have them installed in our kitchen island. Works great. Charges all our devices. Not sure how to measure the actual output amperage, but it charges our iPad and doesn’t get too hot.

Great initially but USB no longer working

Initially a great addition to the kitchen peninsula! Loved the ability to charge phones and tablets without huge wall wart chargers. But..... as of yesterday (bought July 2016) both USB charging ports died. Woke up to tackle the day and our phones were almost dead. Changed cables, etc. no change. Walked into another room and plugged phones into factory chargers and worked fine. I looked to see if there is a reset button for the outlet like GFCI's but there isn't one. Guess I'll have to switch these out as our family has gotten used to the luxury afforded by this style of outlet.

Awesome! Because of this we no longer need our bulky chargers. This USB solution allows me to spend more time with my children and volunteer at the local shelter. Thank you, Leviathan!
