Don't work well with time.

Great idea. Poor execution. After a few months, these floor boxes started slowly popping up to the point now that I have to keep a small weight on them to keep them closed (the spot the previous owner placed the original outlet was in the smallest, tightest, dumbest place possible, so I need time to remove and replace them). Really nice concept, but just don't last long.

well made but odd with white outlet

Went and got a dark outlet from home center as the white looks odd in this bronze case. The case is well made and my issue proves it is repairable...

Installation

This project occured because of my girlfriend suggestion. I thought this was a bit heavy on the price, but purchased it anyway. I installed it under a center of living room couch where I had no electric for two end table lamps to plug in. I had access from my basement so installation was very easy. The hardest part was making sure I would be installing between floor joists, so I took many measurements in the L.R., aided by a heat duct that was right beside a joist. So measure from that, 16'' centers and popped the thing in right dead center of two joists and centered under my couch. Wiring it was easy with the set screw connects. Kind of just plug and play if you get what I mean. I tied into a nearby outlet. And now I enjoy my new lighting scheme, where before all I had was recessed lights, which were hard on the eyes while watching the tube.

Power recliner install

In-Laws got power recliners, needed power in middle of living room, easy install with wiring in basement.

They are okay but sometimes needed.

The product itself looks great but if the box is offset underneath granite it’s hard to get in plus over time use of opening and closing, the product gets weak and sometimes doesn’t close anymore. Unfortunately, we need some them for codes for remodels.

Good quality, feels like it will last

Smooth pop-up action, easy to install and seems durable and well made (I'm no contractor, but there’s some real junk out there, and this isn’t junk). I installed it onto a deck box, and I’m happy with the results.

Very well built for a good price

These are made of very high quality. I can assure you, the price is very good on these. I am an electrical contractor and I cant even get these for double the price through the wholesaler. Comes with everything you need for install including template.

Good Price, Quality Speedy Delivery

I purchased this floor mount receptacle for a friend for their new home as a house warming gift. The unit looks of very good quality but will only know how good it functions for them once they have it installed.

VERY NICE

I really love these. I bought three of them and installed them in my new sunroom in three corners. You press on the black button at the front and they open up by itself. You can either leave them open all the time or close them if you don't use them that often. The top is stainless steel. I would probably buy more.
