Bagging suction seems the same
The bagging suction/vacuum on the HRX217 seems to be the same with this blade as it is for the stock MicroCut twin blades. I have the mower set at 2.5" and while it did help draw up taller weeds that the mower plows over, there was some smaller sticks on the lawn that I would have expected it to draw up and cut up but it did not. I was able to mulch with this single blade fairly well in comparison to the stock MicroCut twin blades. This blade re-labeled from another company. It appears to be a "Rotary Copperhead 15-6428". I use the "All American Sharpener" to sharpen my mower blades. It was a tad tricky to set up the sharpener to accept this blade due to the way that the center of the blade is raised to account for the missing 2nd MicroCut twin blade. This raised portion keeps the blade mowing at the correct height as set by your wheel adjustments. The blade arrived with a good factory angle but it was not very sharp. I used my sharpener and set the cutting edge to 35 degrees. Make sure you remove the stickers from the blade as this could cause it to become slightly unbalanced.

A lot more lift than the Honda blade - moderately abysmal edge though.
This blade produced a lot more lift than the stock Honda blade. It easily pulled debris out of the deeper grass that the stock blade would leave behind. Overall I'm really satisfied after one cut. I haven't tried to mulch with it yet. Parts of the blade seem to hang just a touch lower than the stock blade, so it you're just clearing roots or other bumps now, you might start touching them after installing this. (or at least it'll let you know you're touching them a lot more than the Honda blade did) Had to pull one star because it arrived with a really crappy edge. Not only was the grind sloppy, but it was then rounded over with the powder coating finish. If you buy this blade, don't use it without sharpening it first - you may be disappointed with the cut if you don't. The powder coating will probably come off eventually to reveal a sharped edge, but...why....

Fixes stragglers on honda hrx217
Had to sharpen both this blade and dual blades that came with mower both had no edge. Was going to return mower because of the stragglers the twin blade set up was leaving behind but this fixed the problem. I bag at the highest setting 4” and mowing primarily st augustine. Give this blade a try if your not liking the cut. Honda if your listening you should look into a single blade bagging option for these mowers. Your customers will appreciate. Also the sharpenal think its 3 in 1 works really good at putting an edge on these blades with a little bit of firm pressure in about 5-10 passes had a nice sharp edge.

I've used this for a few mows now. Heard it was a nice replacement for the 2 blade system. I don't really notice much difference with the cut. Maybe the only benefit is that I don't have to sharpen 2 blade each time.

Maxpower’s blade produced much better cut than Honda’s mulching blade.
Just like what the title states. I was getting poor cuts from my Honda HRX 217 mower with Honda’s mulching blade. I finally went on line and found similar complaints. I also found suggestions pointing to replacing it with the Maxpower blade. The blade made a big difference and my lawn looks great!

Better than OEM blades on HRX217VKA
Better suction, cleaner cut, mower goes through thick bermuda without bogging like it did with the oem dual blade. Hrx217vka, direct remove and replace for the OEM blade. Took 2 minutes to swap out.

Greatly improves suction on Honda HRX217
Greatly improved the suction on HRX217 and no more issues with missed strip of grass when mowing higher than 3" that is common with these mowers using the OEM blade setup. Simply remove the dual blades and directly replace with this single blade. Works great!
