Installation is not as easy as implied

This is my third or fourth purchase of this same item (Glenbury with a few variations). As with the last one, the mounting hardware is of (even worse than before) Mickey Mouse design. It's very flexible rubber and even after finally getting the bolt engaged -- which was a bit fiddly to do -- it would never tighten. It's billed as top mount, but you still have to work with it under the rim. I suspect if I had been successful with that hardware it would have held up for a couple of months, tops. It seemed very flimsy and oddly, not a good fit for a Kohler toilet. Anyway, as before, I simply substituted the far more robust and much easier to use mounting hardware from the old seat. The seat itself is comfortable, functional, and attractive. The soft close on the last one lasted about as long as any of them do -- a few years in a rarely used guest bath; it'll probably be the same with this one.
