Nice set

Nice set, made in Taiwan. Fit and finish is very good. Only complaint is the storage box could be better quality. I have a similar Channellock set, and while the tools are comparable in quality and finish the metal box from Channellock is sturdier.

Dependable product

I purchased this socket set as a replacement for a brand manufactured out of the country and am extremely satisfied with the quality. I work as a heavy duty diesel technician and became discontent with my normal always purchased Snap-On brand quality of the recent past years so am branching out for other brands. These sockets fit the bolts & nuts precisely and tend to stay on the ratchet or extensions better than some other brands. This is a nice set for the reasonable price and from a well known manufacture. Thanks Klein Tools

Best Thing About This is the Chest

I had high hopes for this inexpensive set when I opened the box. The red metal storage chest is attractive, bright mechanic's red, & sturdy & well-made. I thought that if Klein put such great care into the chest, imagine how good the tools must be. Wrong! The inside tools & plastic insert were wrapped in plastic, another good sign, because everything was in place & well-protected. I had just finished opening the other parts of my order, an Armstrong (USA) socket, & several Wera (Germany) sockets, so I had a good chance to compare all three manufacturers for qulaity. Firstly, the Wera sockets were made in Taiwan, not Germany (where the company is located). But they were nicely finished & had decent weight. The Armstrong (a Chicago company) was finished just as well but heftier. No problems with either kind. The Klein sockets had a cloudy film on all of them, which made them look used (they weren't). The other two brands were highly polished. The Klein sockets were the lightest of the three (all sockets I compared were very close in size, so the comparison was a fair one). The included ratcheting wrench was of good quality; the Spinner Handle was of decent quality. The problems with this set became apparent when I tried to fit the Klein sockets onto the wrench or spinner. Some fit OK, some fit so tight that I couldn't get them off without using a tool, & some fit so loosely that they wobbled (a lot, not a little). I tried the Armstrong socket (also a 1/4") on the wrench, & it was so tight that it became a two-tool job to get it off again. The two included Klein extensions fit very poorly & wobbled a great deal. One of them seemed to have a too-short head, which created additional wobble for sockets when attached. I wanted to like this Klein product because it's made in the USA, but sorry to say, the Taiwan made Wera sockets were of superior quality. Thankfully, the USA Armstrong was the best-made of the three. I would have been happier if Klein kept the price the same, but omitted the well-made chest & the spinner handle, & put more quality into the sockets & extensions. This set is a big disappointment, although I guess I should have figured that out for the price. I'll be returning it, & looking for something of better quality, hopefully without having to spend too much on it.

This is a great socket set

This is a great socket set! The only thing bad I have to say about them is how much they cost. You can buy Tekton or Crafstman for the same price, for more tools. I sent these back and went with Gearwrench.

Bulky case but same great tools inside

I had the same set from the nineties and had a small case, very compact. The new case is quite bulky to fit in my tool bag like the previous one. The only reason for the 4 star rating.
