Nice quality strippers

I've used a lot of various brands of strippers and most have always got the job done. Last summer I needed to rewire by RV camper which included rewiring the 8 awg battery cables as well. My existing strippers didn't have the capabilities of stripping 8 awg so I went shopping and found these Klein strippers. These did a really nice job of stripping this large stranded cable as well as all of the other 10,12,14, and 16 gauge cables. They gave me a nice clean cut on the plastic sheathing WITHOUT cutting into the copper wire and leaving me with short stubby strands hanging out. Now they're my go-to strippers and have my two thumbs up!!

Awesome strips

I love these wire strippers. I work in aviation and the gauge sizes of our wire harnesses that we install in an aircraft make these stripper a go to all day long. Now I own 2 types so that I can reach a variety of ranges. They handle great and cut nicely. I recommend these to everyone.

Klein tools don't disappoint

Bought this because I needed a stripper/cutter for thin gauge wires. It was fairly inexpensive compared to the other Klein tools I've purchased in the past, so I was quite skeptical. Impressed out of the gate. Super sharp and really able to strip those fine wires well. I'd absolutely not hesitate to buy again.

Nice quality wire stripper. Great that is does 8 AWG wire.

I bought this because I needed it to do 8 AWG (many wire cutters only go to 10 AWG). Very sharp, precise, and accurate to strip insulation without damaging strands. This is a much better wire stripper than others that I've owned.

Extremely sturdy, fantastic tool

Been using the same style strippers for well over a decade. Conveniently at 6 inches in length, which is exactly what you need for the length of the wire from the back of the box.

Why don't things work like they are supposed to?

Been looking for wire strippers that properly handle 22awg wire (not 20/22awg) for a decent price so I tried these. They don't do nearly as good a job with mil spec 22awg wire as my 20 year old Radio Shack cheapo wire stippers that I wanted to replace. It cuts off the insulation but continuously leaves the clear plastic coating over the "exposed" wires. Have to be careful to get that off otherwise you won't have contact. 16awg seems to do okay but I hate changing wire strippers to do a job. Lastly there's no locking latch?! I have to use an elastic band to keep them closed when I put them in my tool bag.

Great for Speaker Wire

Works like a charm, barely any effort to strip my #14 OFC speaker wire. Perhaps 1/5 of the time I cut off a single strand, but that happens. The tool came dirty though, which isn’t a big deal but I can see why some people think it’s used.
