Overall just what I was looking for.
Pros: Nice and sturdy lamps Plenty of light with two bulbs per lamp Elegant looking and will go with most decors Cons: More than I wanted to pay The table lamps have a bit of a high spot in the center of the base which makes the lamps move too easily These are very nice lamps that provide the amount of light that we needed. Why do so many houses come with lighting built in any more? Well built and sturdy, the price is worth it. I have purchased many lower cost lamps that were poorly built at best and still cost $50-$75. So while these where more than I wanted to pay it was well worth the cost for the better quality. As for the table lamps with the "high spots" in the middle, I am using some of the cheap rubber bumpers (about $2 for a pack of 20 or so at your local hardware store or on amazon) that I stuck on the bottom edges to keep the lamps in place.

Just what I was hoping for!
When we replaced our old lamps with these it made me wonder why I put up with the old ones for so long. They shed so much more light and it's so nice to have the pull chains to turn them on and off. And they look nice. Very pleased with the purchase and the transaction.

Excellent Customer Service
These lamps are great and have really made our apartment feel like a home. They are much nicer than another set of lamps we purchased at the same time and we do not regret the purchase at all. When the lamps arrived, one of the lamp shades had a minor defect (a wrinkled shade). After a bit of struggle, I found the generic customer service address for Kenroy Home they manufacturer. I wrote an e-mail describing the issue and hoped that someone (even an automated reply) would get back to me. A customer service representative, Jenee, replied to my e-mail telling me that the parts were on back order but that one would be shipped out promptly. When I followed up with Jenee, she replied with a tracking number and a week later my lamp shade had arrived, no questions asked. I wish more companies dealt with customer issues in this way. Great product, great customer service; you can't ask for more than that.

Reporting in after 7 years of use
This lamp set was one of the first items that I purchased for my new home ... back in June 2007. Now, more than 7 years later, we still have these lamps, and I still like them. However, there is a switch on each lamp that is broken now -- in fact, one of them broke in the first year. At least the table lamps are in an "on" position, so we have them plugged into a wired outlet with a switch. Overall, I believe Kenroy lamps are one of the better values, and we still have another set of Kenroys with twist switches that did not break ... although the base on one shattered. However, these pull switches are a problem. I would buy Kenroy again, but I wouldn't buy this set or a set with pull switches again. I'd also only purchase at a deep discount. Still a better value than Kichler but not much better than a Target lamp ... just my 2 cents.

Not bad for the price
This is a decent set of clean modern looking light set. However the pull chains are very sticky and not smooth to operate the lights, and one of the pull chain mechanism got stuck and broke on me after a few years. If you like the look, it's worth getting them but I'm taking off a star because of the pull chains issue.

Perfect lamps
LOVE these lamps. Our home does not have any ceiling lighting in the main rooms, so we really wanted lamps with 2 bulbs each and these are perfect. They give off plenty of light. They were also very easy to assemble. We were so pleased with our first set that we bought another set for our living room!

Good quality lamps
Nice lamps. I enjoy the fact that each lamp has 2 bulbs with separate pull chains. I put 3 way bulbs in them which gives us lots of lighting options.
