Perfect for my aspiring engineer / archer!
Very cool toy - both educational and fun! When I saw this, I knew it would be perfect for my 7 year old aspiring engineer / archer. He loved building it, though he needed my help. The instructions are very clear, but there are A LOT of pieces and steps. I showed him which pieces to use, and he was able to put most together. We actually both really enjoyed building it. It was amazing how it came together. Then he had a fully functioning bow to play with! The bow includes 4 clips for the extra "darts" to attach to the bow so they don't get lost. Note: The "darts" are shot with a Nerf-gun-like mechanism, not a bow to pull back on. This was actually easier than aiming and using a bow. So a plus for ease of use, but a minus in that it took away from the feeling of using a bow. Also the darts hit pretty hard. It packs some power, so I definitely recommend using outside and reminding children not to shoot their siblings! Also the product claims to build 4 different items (only one at a time), but only instructions for the bow were included. You must go online to access the instructions for the other 3 models (and then print in color). It would have been very nice to include the instructions for each one. But then again, my son has been using the bow every day since he built it, so perhaps he wouldn't be willing to disassemble it to build another model!

Great product, horrible shipping.
Product was just what it said it was and my nephew loved it. Amazon however really dropped the ball on shipping. It arrived with just a shipping label on the actual product box and a huge hole in the box. If it wouldn't have been a Christmas present I would certainly have returned it.

I thought they would love them so much
I purchased three different sets for my sons. I thought they would love them so much, especially considering how much they love Nerf guns and Legos. I was surprised that they never had an interest to put them together. The one thing that I think may have been a factor, was that they received these as Christmas presents and with so many new toys to play with these just required more "work" then they wanted to put into them. I believe that if they were to have received them now, they would take them time to put them together and play with them. These sets are very detailed and require following assembly instructions in order to be able to use them. I really did like them. Although, I cannot say how they performed after assembling, they did look VERY cool on the package. Not to mention, aside from anything else this was a great quality set of K'NEX regardless of how you used them.

Different pieces
My son loves this! But it had some if the wrong pieces in the box. And the instructions never showed how to create the other 2 options shown on the box. Was kind of disappointed.

Overall a Good Birthday Present Option.
My 9 yo needed adult assistance to assemble, which is fine. The look of it is cool. I will say this toy might not be the best fit for kiddos that are rough/play hard with their toys. Ours lasted about a month until prices were lost and we couldn’t remember how to put it back together. It is also not very accurate. Overall, I would say this makes a good birthday present.

BEST EVER!!
Once my son opened it for Christmas it was the best gift ever that Santa could bring him. It was more sturdy then what I thought it would be, the bullets shot farther then expected and with more power. The rest of the kids and my boyfriend all want one now to have a bow fight. We have gone through our fair share of nerf guns and by far this is the best ever and for the price it was well worth it! My son has been able to make a gun out of it as well and it keeps him entertained for a long time. Will be buying more for the family to have wars!!! Best gift ever! So much better then all nerf guns and bows we get every Christmas.

Fun to build but after son just used hum alone, no real purpose for the bow.

Got as a birthday gift for 8year old. He built the models no problem and loves that they fire. There’s some speed to the “bullets” when fired.
