Consider ordering up a size?

Ordered these for my tall, skinny 10.5 year old. She is pretty typically in a size 11 but these fit her perfectly and perhaps will not fit her for long. I would consider ordering a size up if you want your child to be able to wear these for a while. Really cute and flattering. Quality is awesome as well.

Sturdy material, run large, poorly sewn patch

These straight leg black jeans for girls by Hudson are cute and the jean fabric is very sturdy. I appreciate that although they have the torn knee look, there is a patch sewn beneath the hole for more long lasting quality. Our pair sadly was poorly sewn, and one of the patches under the knee was left unattached at the top of the hole, making the patch almost pointless. I will have to purchase some thick, durable black thread, and hand sew it closed myself. For the price, I feel that this mistake is unacceptable. The jeans also fit quite large, especially if your child is slender whatsoever, so keep that in mind when ordering. They do have an adjustable waistband which is invaluable when it comes to children's pants, so I am very happy about that. All in all, these are durable, cute and comfortable, but keep in mind the few caveats I have mentioned.

Great cut and fit! Very cute jeans!

These are a bit stiffer than my girl is used to, so I might try to wash and dry them a few times to soften them up. But they look so cute on her! The cut and color of the jeans is very retro looking.

Honestly, they're adorable!

I ordered these for my preteen in her current size, and they fit her very well. She isn't overweight by any means, but she is not one I could describe as skinny either. Because of that, she rarely likes wearing blue jeans. "They feel too tight" she says, so I am surprised to report that she finds this pair comfortable. And I believe her too, since this picky kid reaches for them at least twice a month. She also likes the ripped detail; which I like too since the patches aren't to large, nor show a lot of skin. In person, the jean material was nicer quality than I expected. They feel well made and appear to be "finished off" (meaning quality checked; no loose strings or threads). Plus the jeans are holding up well to the heated dryer and come out wrinkle free! I'm impressed with these pants, especially considering the price point. I would certainly come back and shop the Hudson store for more clothes for her in the future.

A little big

Jeans fit my 8 year old pretty well. My daughter is on the small side and can wear sizes 6x-8. These jeans are a little baggy on her and provide extra room.

Large at the waist

The media could not be loaded. I like the design. It is a modern style. I just wish it could be tied a little bit more at the waist. My daughter is very skinny and these runs large just at the waist even after adjusting the inside elastic band. These are straight fit and the quality is good.

Fits Nicely

Our second grader loved these denim jeans. They're soft, stretchy, and comfortable, with a casual and trendy style that's popular with kids. The seams are sturdy, and the knee and pocket reinforcements prevent them from fraying in the wash.

Super nice!

These jeans are very high quality jeans. There are "rips" in the jeans but there are 2 layers so the rips are the top layer only so your kid will stay warm because their knees won't be exposed to the air. The jeans are stretchy, but only a little. They have the elastic band sewn in the waist that can be adjusted by pulling the elastic and securing it on the inside button.
