Wow!!

I got this for a closet grow before I knew what I was doing. It is like having a chunk of the sun at your disposal. Great quality, but emits CRAZY amts of heat. Venting/cooling is non-negotiable, and be prepared to hang 6 layers of blackout curtains if using around neighbors.

Bringing a little sunshine into my life this winter.

set up my garage as a wintertime greenhouse. Installed insulated light panels for the day... and two of theses units at night. Using MH or HPS lights make lots of heat as a byproduct over LED... (100% of the electricity from lights eventually turns to heat.. 90% is directly lost as heat, and the 10% that gets turned into photons gets distributed as heat once the photon bombards itself with a non reflective surface and transfers the energy of the photon via kinetic energy by vibrating the substrate, therefor heating it) . so this puts out as much heat as a 1000 watt heater... and I have two of them running all night... which i need and desired. Seems to keep the garage well heated and plenty warm for plant growth. I got scallions, lettuce, arugula, spinach, and all sorts of other stuff to help me chase the winter blues away.

Don't hesitate to buy anything from this seller, WholesaleDirect

Something we usually forget is that it's often more important from whom one buys than what is bought. This purchased certainly brought that caveat to the fore. I received my "order" in two days--this was an Amazon Prime purchase. This item was fulfilled by Amazon from product supplied by WholesaleDirect, who keeps an inventory with Amazon. Whatever is in the box identified as a particular product is shipped when that product is ordered. Apparently, one can buy just the fixture, which comes with four hangers, and that is what I received around 1800 one Thursday evening. I immediately contacted Amazon via online chat. They were more than willing to send me a return ticket, but I just wanted the missing parts--the ballast, two lamps, timer, and two yoyo hoists (these are nice). Amazon could only provide who sold the item (see above) and a gmail contact. Great, a gmail address! I immediately sent an email to the address and within five minutes I received a reply. I received the missing parts within 24 hours (I'm starting the clock at the next business day opening time). Remember, this was Thursday evening, meaning WholesaleDirect shipped the missing parts Next Day, Saturday delivery, at a cost to them of $144 for a $205 product--they lost money on this deal. I've been in business for myself for 26 years, and I know a lot about how businesses, large and small, operate--really their "character"--both from owning my own businesses and consulting with a great many mid-sized and small businesses. Precious few, virtually none, realize that, while you want to avoid mistakes--because they cost money--, when they happen, it's an opportunity to show what they "are made of". People going into business these days look at how much money they can make in the short term, by and large, although they won't admit it, mainly because they are unaware of their perspective. The ones that are successful in the long term know this. It takes patience, but it pays big. "Jeff" (anglicized Chinese name), who I assume owns WholesaleDirect, did the right thing where virtually none would have. To be sure, if I ever have need for another of these grow lights, which I probably will, it's WholesaleDirect that I'll buy it from. Oh, the light? I have it setup and it's working fine, and it is well made. So really this deserves ten stars--five for the product and five for the character of the company selling it, WholesaleDirect.

Works great but it sucks

I purchased an Apollo unit that cost me the price of the light now, returned the Apollo because both bulbs were burned out or it just didn't work. An amazon employee I spoke with recommended this one and I'm glad he did. Thanks to the air cooled hood and an in-line fan I can keep my lights about 6" away from my plants. The only disappointment I have is that the price is now $20 cheaper than what I paid for. Update: This is a piece of junk. I can't use it for more than 3 weeks before the ballast dies. It's gotten replaced 3 times already since my purchase and I have not been able to pull one cycle using it only for flower. This is an unreliable piece of equipment with a great warrantee of 2 years but it's worth nothing if you go 2 weeks without lights during the needed times. It's ruined 2 crops that I had to scrap thanks to their idiotic policy of you returning yours first and we have to get it before sending a replacement. They also have a dumb $100 rebate/gifts that when you actually ask for they only offer you up to $30 on gifts and no rebate. I had given them 5 stars because you have to do that in order to get the gifts but after using it or trying to use it it's useless. I don't write a lot of reviews an only do it when something is so useless. Ignore me or listen to me it's not my problem just giving plain truth out. After loosing 2 crops at $15 per seed loosing 12 per crop. That's $360 on seeds plus nutrients used in a hydro grow plus 2 months of vegging done with T5's. We are talking about $400-$500 lost thanks to their bought reviews that people have to do in order to get a fricken $30 gift. Every time I get a replacement somehow they messed up the address so I had to wait an additional week. 3 weeks wait time total between lights is a big number, their ballast have not survived more than 3 weeks with one only living 1. I have a surge protector and an expensive timer to protect them. They don't work 24/7 so if you have the worst luck as to have it go out Friday night at week 2 of flower you will loose 3 weeks of precious light which means might as well dump out your crop and waste your money.

Not impressed with iPower

Ordered the 600w light and the light color was "yellow". I could see a mess inside the gas chamber of the bulb. I sent pictures to iPower and they said "ahh give it a few weeks...and then contact us if still not working" A few weeks??? Save your money..many other options out there. I will never buy from iPower again!!

Great light, at a good price !

I second guessed buying this product due to lights being broken in the mail , but considering where I live and needing to drive 4 hours for a deal that would maybe compare to this i bought it anyways . Ballast, reflector seem very rigid . Hangers are a little on the cheap side but whatever the MH is working great so far with no problems . hps bulb hasn't been tested yet , can't see why it wouldn't work though . I’ve now had this product for almost two years with many successes. Still working great . Good buy .
