I like the feeling of this one compared to a few ...

Very well built however runs EXTREMELY big. Measuring exactly 16.75" I should be an Extra Large according to the size chart. I ordered Large due to the fits big comments of others. But Ive maxed out the tightness and its just barely right. Going to try a medium now, actually debating on small. I like the feeling of this one compared to a few others I have tried recently. Nice and secure, but man they need to redo the size chart.

Durability

After a complete knee replacement and a revision a year later my knee is still not right. Went to the Mayo Clinic and they suggested another complete knee replacement with a different type of knee. The surgeon suggested this type of brace. I went to a medical supply store to get professionally fitted for this brace. It works great but after about a month the straps are failing. They are separating at the stitching and starting to curl and deform. I purchased two additional braces which had the same issues. I asked the brands customer service if I could purchase replacement straps. They had to check on it. They promised they would get back to me the next day. Well, the next 7 days came and went with no replies. Bottom line, the brace with Velcro tabs works great but the outer securing straps start to fail within a month. Don’t expect to get any replacement straps from the manufacturer. They are the weak link in this set up.

So far, so good.

I've tried everything for my badly mangled knee by an orthopedic surgeon and this keeps my knee straight and finally I can walk so yes, I recommend this. I wear it over pants which makes it slide a little but if I wore shorts or baggy pants, it would probably work better. I'm thrilled thatI can walk some distance again.
