The filter is about $30. Which means we paid over $70 for the adapter. Ridiculous.

Be sure the T line is connected firmly!

I had this unit professionally installed. The plumber told me to be sure to watch the connections as they sometimes don't seat perfectly. It didn't. There is a T connector where a plastic tube slides in. BE SURE IT CLICKS IN or you'll get a slow drip. I used a thin rubber grip around the tube and was able to hear a 'click' as I pushed it in further.

Filter for Instant hot water unit.

install was not difficult, but had to run to store to buy longer tubing as the one supplied with the unit was a foot short, improved taste of water for instant hot water unit.

Great for an older house with corroding pipes

Our instant hot water faucet seems to get clogged every few months. The first time, they sent a couple of guys out and they replaced it. Our house is 50-years old and the pipes need to be flushed regularly to get all the junk out so I figured the unit was simply getting clogged with all that junk. Twice i removed it and cleaned the tank well and it then worked like new. I bought this filter to have it clean the water flowing into the tank so it won't get clogged. So far, so good.

Great Filters & System

I had to replace the filter for my InSinkErator instant hot water system. I discovered that the company that installed the system used their own filtration add-on filter that was now bankrupt and that size/fit filter was no longer available. I ordered this InSinkErator filtration system. I did have to purchase a few extra parts as the old connections to the plumbing a larger diameter tubing. However, after that it was smooth sailing and I had it installed in about 30 minutes, or less. It works great!

Awesome

Wow! Bought this to save our instant hot water heater from chemicals in the water. The water smells and taste better from the tap with the filter attached! Very impressed. We are on city water and the water is visibly clearer. The on the left side is filtered. Hard to tell in the picture but it is clearer
