Great fall/light winter shoe

They fit well. Quality is very good. I’ve been wearing them in 0-teen temps. Using regular socks though your feet will get cold but if you wear wool socks you’re golden for at least a few hours if you’re stagnant. Moving around working you’ll be golden. It comes with two different kinds of laces. Regular set most skate shoes come with and another set that’s tan and thicker almost like a paradors style but not. For me they fit really well even if my right foot being slighter wider. It also has a sherpe (sp) type liner but it’s not a lot of it. Ankle support is pretty decent. I highly recommend this shoe especially if you’re working outside roofing cause skate shoes work the best with shingles

Tall Skater Shoes Plus Warm!

I own a few pairs of shoes from Element, and I like the label, especially their efforts to use sustainable and recycled materials! The Sawyer Mid Sneakers are cool-looking cool weather shoes that combine boots with sneakers for a comfortable fit. That said, I've found that Element shoes run consistently narrow. If you have wide feet (I don't), I suggest skipping these altogether. The Sawyer Mid's look fantastic if you're into the suede, earth-toned look. I don't have many shoes that look like these, and I love how they look paired with jeans. The upper is soft and pliable, while the sole has plenty of comfort. These aren't great walking shoes, however. Treat these as taller skater shoes, and you'll know what to expect. The inside of the Sawyers is lined with a faux fleece material making them quite warm. For that reason, these are cool-weather shoes only. Recommended.

Comfy / keeps the cold weather out!

They’re really nice! I wear a size 9.5 and it fit nicely. No issues of it hurting my feet in any way. They’re a bit bulkier than normal high tops type of style but they have a little bit of ‘fur’ inside them at the top to help warm you up. They’re sleek and comfortable.

A great boot alternative

I got these sneakers/boots for my husband and he really likes them so far. They are really versatile but look great with a nice pair of jeans. They are simple but don't look plain and the color is really nice and subtle. The fit is great he says, pretty spot on and they are pretty comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. He's worn them many times now and they've held up nicely. Price is great too!

Super comfy

Really nice pair of mid-top sneakers from Element. Overall it's a great set in terms of style and comfort with lightweight construction and soft padded (fleece) interior that cradles the feet nicely. Style wise this looks great worn with shorts and a T and just as sharp with jeans/chinos while out and about. The heavy tread outsoles are made from recycled rubber and provide great traction which should be expected considering the skateboard centric focus of the brand.

Very nice!

These shoes are great looking and very comfortable. And...they are warm and cozy too, a plus...excellent for winter time. Your foot feels very secure in there. They are also VERY cool looking - I love the gum style soles...compliments the rest of the design nicely. I've owned some other Element items (mostly shirts) and I've had those for years with no issue...I have no doubt that the standard of quality is present with these shoes as well. Took a star off because they are a little bit on the narrow side and can be hard to get on your feet. This might not be an issue after they are broken in...but to be on the safe side, ordering a half size or even a full size larger than what you normally wear - ESPECIALLY if you have wider feet - will fix that issue altogether.

These shoes run at least a half size small

I was so disappointed when I went to try these shoes on. They run at least a half size smaller than what they say. They are also much more narrow than I expected as well. Other than the size factor, they are very well-made and extremely soft and well padded on the inside. If you order a size larger, or even a half size larger, you may be very happy with these shoes. Just be sure to order them larger than you think you need. These shoes come with two different shoestrings, one is the shoestrings that you see in my photo which match the color of the shoe perfectly, the other shoe strings are black in their flat. I really like the shoes. I wish I could keep them but I had to pass them off to a friend who had a smaller shoe size.
