An affordable ironing board replacement
I am not inclined to iron on a regular basis, and certainly the time-consuming task of pulling out an ironing board is something I don't intend to do regularly. This is why I purchased this ironing blanket to assist in my ironing chores. What I really like about the blanket is how easy it is to lay out and move around. I was able to iron on top of a table with little effort and overall I felt that the results were similar to an ironing board. My only concern would be the material as it doesn't feel as high quality as I would like for longevity; however, it was a great price and I would certainly buy it again if it did fall apart after a reasonable amount of wear and time.

Tabletop Ironing Board And The Blanket Works!!
Six months ago, I bought the "Ironing Blanket" for my tabletop ironing board. I do not like the cover on the ironing board and thought this would be a better alternative! It works GREAT as this blanket gives the ironing board the extra cushion that we were seeking. It has held up but it will scorch as my daughter did not know that the one touch sensor was off on the iron so it scorched the blanket but it still works perfectly. We use the steam and mist from the iron on the blanket and it did not stain the blanket until the incident occurred with my daughter and the iron which is no reflection on the blanket. I just ordered my second "Ironing Blanket" because I might use it for crafting or perhaps a backup ironing blanket. We do not have issues with the mat curling or laying flat because the blanket hangs over the ironing board but it still ours still does not curl. We did not have an odor and if things change with the second one, I will update my review!

Beats the Towel Method
This is a nice product. I like its light weight and fold down size (about an 8x8 square) for packing and traveling. I tested the product ironing on top of a countertop and yea, it slid around some, but certainly beats the towel method I've used for years. Surface, as advertised, did not get hot, or even warm. It is large enough that the majority of the front/back of my blouse fit so I was not having to constantly reposition for ironing. The Seller's description was good (except for some slipping on countertop) and prompt delivery ... very impressive. I do RECOMMEND this product and this Seller. I would buy again and recommend to fellow travelers.

Non-slip
I thought it would be heavier, it's foam backing with a shiny teflon on top. It keeps your table or island from heat, it's small enough to travel.

Perfect for crafting
I was a little leery about getting this based on some of the reviews. However, I'm glad I bought it. Mine also came with lots of wrinkles from being packaged. The first time I used it, I put in on a table and steam pressed my items. Voila! -- wrinkles gone. It's perfect for using in my crafting area. I can keep it out of the way and very quickly grab it when I need to. The only thing I don't like it is that it's a bit thick and spongy. But I think after several uses, it will probably compress a bit.

Gets the job done nicely
I love this for the most part. I expected it to be a bit more sturdy than it is. It is a bit more flimsy than expected. I'm not sure how long it will hold up because I've only had it for two days, but I've ironed five pair of pants and seven shirts on it so far without an issue and it did wonderfully just by laying it on the bed.

Not Just For Ironing !!
Thinking outside the box! I purchased a small camping gas grill and have a small camp table to set it on. The grill gets rather hot on the bottom so wanted something to protect the particle board table. I happen to think about an ironing board cover but expected to find them in large size. Took a look on Amazon and found this small ironing pad and it works GREAT! Plus I could take a iron camping and have my wife iron my summer shirts :-) I don't think that will happen but remember, these things work for more than their intended use. Well made, thick and wipes off easily with a damp cloth. I may purchase several more!

Just what I needed!
When looking for a replacement I was surprised to see I purchased my existing mat (this one) in June 2010. Thanks AMAZON. Foam backing has begun to crumble (6 years). This one I will use for traction and stability when brushing my small pups. Let me advise that I do not actually iron much but touch up dry cleaned and professionally laundered clothes that have wrinkles from a tight closet or folding creases. I have also used for iron on patches. Max steam is not it's best friend but it has served my purpose well.

Works well for EasyPress; too shifty for regular iron
I purchased this portable ironing blanket to use on a desk in my craft room with the Cricut EasyPress (a cross between a household iron and a heat press). The ironing blanket does a good job of protecting my desk from heats up to 340°F applied for up to 30 seconds or more in one place. There is some heat transfer, but it is minimal. (e.g. I can feel it when I move the blanket and place my hand on the desk, but it feels no hotter than if a mug of tea had been sitting in that spot.) I have found that the blanket doesn't really want to smooth out nicely. It works well for me because I am applying my EasyPress in one spot and not sliding it around. I did give it a try with a normal iron, and I found that the top layer of the blanket was a bit too loose, so it kind of slides around under the thing you are ironing making it difficult to get out all the winkles. I can't recommend this ironing blanket if you intended to use it regularly to iron clothing. It does, however, work great as insulation with the EasyPress or for occasional use (like when travelling) with an iron to get out the worst of the wrinkles.

Not satisfied with product and price
Extremely small. Also the seller charges more, MRP is 699, ended up paying 999. Would not recommend.

Cheap but good
The product is light and feels cheap but it actually works really well. It rolls up nice and I used it to roll my travel iron in to protect it in the luggage. A good buy. A bit small as it doesn’t fit a polo shirt completely. But works properly and helps ironing.

Saves so much space!
Love this. So convenient and saves so much space in the house without needing a massive ironing board i barely use.
