I photographed the original at the Library of Congress when I was the Head of the Photographic Section with several guards present due to the value. To me it has a sentimental value. I am also in awe how well the map was preserved given the age and the size of the pages. It is truly amazing !!! Now I can have this “Beauty” framed and hanging in my office !!!
