Great!
This works great! Just finished clearing 5 inches of Minnesota snow. It does ok on heavier snow but needs the chute cleared if it gets clogged... pretty normal for any snowblower. Tough to clear the bottom where the plow went by but otherwise great. This saved my back this winter! Not as powerful as a gas blower and not as sturdy but that makes it lighter and less expensive. So for the price and weight it works awesome!

Not bad, but make sure your expectations are reasonable going into it - this will not throw snow like a gas powered model
The GreenWorks 2600202 13-Amp snow blower works much like you would expect a $200 snow blower to work. It handles small amounts of wet snow fine - powering through a few inches without any trouble. However, as it gets a bit deeper - still less than 6" - expect to have to push this in shoves, backing it off a bit in between. As a result, for light snows it will help get the job done faster, but for heavier snows (when it is nice to have a snow blower) it still takes a bit of work. It's definitely less power than even a relatively small gas powered snow blower. But... it's also a lot less money. In my case, I live in a townhome community and the association is supposed to do snow removal, so I had a hard time justifying the cost of a heavier duty snow blower, but still wanted the convenience of one for when they were running behind (which they often do - 1 star for my snow removal company :/). I have not personally tried any other electric snow blowers, but from what I've gathered through research, this is better than most of them. Despite being a bit underpowered, as any electric will be, it is relatively well made. The outside body is entirely plastic, which is to be expected at this price point, but it at least feels sturdy. Assembly was easy, and with it being electric comes two other nice perks: easy starting and little maintenance. The crank that repositions the snow chute from side to side is a bit stiff, but not badly enough to interfere with its operation. It's also quite quiet compared to gas powered models. If you go into this expecting it to throw snow like a gas powered snow blower then you're going to be disappointed. However, if your expectations are reasonable (fine for a few inches of snow - more than that and it will still work, but you'll have to work some too), then this is a good unit for the price. Also, do yourself a favor and get an extension cord that is specifically designed for cold weather use. They tend to either be made out of rubber or some other formulation than the normal extension cords and will remain flexible even when it is cold outside. UPDATE 12/2/15: I've gotten to use this again now this year after a recent snowstorm, and my experience is consistent with my review. It did fine with a few inches of snow, but as that grew to 4" to 6" it became slower going or required small shoves. That said, this was also a very heavy, wet snow. That's harder to throw in the first place since it's heavier, and I also found that if I did shove it forward it would start to clump together in the chute and plug it up (easily cleared by hand with the snowblower off). With a dry fluffy snow it probably could get through 6" without an issue. On the whole, even with this wet, heavy snow, it still was a bit of a time saver and reduced overall effort though, and will be more so with a lighter snow. I'm still happy enough with the purchase.

Quietly, and Cleanly Handling the Snowpocalypse
I've had a Greenworks plug-in mower for a few years now, and my previous electric snowblower had never been spectacular (had a style similar to the WEN blower sold here on Amazon); it kept clogging, and wouldn't shoot the snow far if it wasn't. The reason I didn't buy this Greenworks unit at that time was because the plastic auger concept didn't seem like a durable piece. Well, the old one's metal auger bent early during this season, and no one is offering metal in the sub-$200 electric market, anymore. Since I've had a very good experience with my mower, and it was on sale, I gave this one a try. I am now convinced that Greenworks knows their way around a yard implement. I got the lighted unit (used, to keep it cheap), and though they are quite handy, the lights aren't worth the nearly $70 extra, at full retail. The blower - lighted or not - is great. It's as effective as the Toro S200 I grew up using, and has not clogged once during this season, as I've been able to use it 5 times since I got it a little over 2 weeks ago. Light and fluffy, to a few days of sit and settle, it has handled all of it. And the plastic auger has been surprisingly durable, even after hitting a few hidden hazards (one even jammed it to a dead stop), it has no cracks, no warps, and no major dings. Now, the complaints...Yes, it's corded, and tripping over that is a given. All I can say is take your time, and be mindful of where the line is, all the while remembering that if you stop it, it's just a button push to restart (no pull start!), so no pulled back muscles. The chute is easy to position...For you, and the machine. I keep having to reset the direction constantly as I go, particularly when set to the extreme left or right, and there isn't much of a "lock-down" to keep it in place, unlike the chute height which stays very much at the level it is set to, but is still easy to change. Overall, for a light-duty blower, it punches a little above its weight class, and performs as well as the gas-powered competition. And, unlike battery packs, extension cords don't run out of power...Unless you run it over...

Decent price and gets the job done
Good snow thrower for small to medium size driveways with light to medium snow Struggles with heavy wet snow but still a worth its price

Great for areas where bigger machines can't go
I have a gas-powered snow thrower and plow for larger areas. I was looking for something to go where those bigger machines can't go and settled on this Greenworks snow thrower. I have to say I had really low expectations, but the reviews were decent so I decided to roll the dice on it. The main area that I needed to do where the big machines can't go is my front walk. We had about 6 inches of snow come down in the past 24 hours so I thought I'd give this electric snow thrower a try. The walk is about 75 feet long and has steps every 15 feet or so. It's pavers, which are uneven, so this machine couldn't get down to bare pavers in very many spots but that's really not its fault. It moved the snow easily and threw it as far as I wanted to. I was really surprised. Naturally it couldn't cut through the 2 feet of snow that had already fallen, but neither could my 34" cut gas machine. I would definitely recommend this for even surfaces and lighter snowfalls (6" or so). I doubt it would do very well with heavy, wet snow. My only complaint is that the chute turns on its own when going through deeper snow. It seems the force of the snow blasting through the chute causes it to rotate. I had to hold the chute in place with one hand and push the unit with the other which was difficult.

I love this portable snow blower, works great and easy to maneuver. Now the winter is here, use it quite a bit now. Great transaction.
