Chrome plating

I ordered 3 sets of these and they arrived on time. The 3rd set is to replace any that may fall off or get stolen. Put them on my truck and within 2 weeks the chrome plating started coming off one of them. And the blue tip broke off a different one when I was re-tightening it. I wouldn't expect either of these things to happen within 2 weeks of installing them. The other ones seem to be holding up well.

Not very old, never used harsh chemicals. Just used either chemical guys soap and the outside shiny layer is coming off.
