Initially I thought the color was too dark and almost returned it, but then grew to like it and find more outfits to match it with. Now I really like it!

I bought this for a Halloween costume but ended choosing a different one. I did not like the way this one looked on me. It was not stretchy.

In love with these skirts

I think this is my 4th purchase of these skirts and definitely my favorite color currently for Summer. I got my first one in navy, and ever since, I’ve also gotten it in red, black, and now khaki. These skirts goes with almost everything. They make your waist look flattering and keep their shape so well through many washes. The fabric is thick enough to never show anything. The length may seem short but it’s enough coverage so that you would never flash any one. The colors are just so timeless that I’ve been wearing them for years now and they are neither out of style or out of rotation. There is a slight sizing difference however. This khaki version is slightly looser around the waist than my first navy version from years back. Maybe around 1-2 inches difference.

Perfect Tennis Skirt

Usually I wear a M in this brand, but a lot of the reviews recommended going down a size which I did and it worked out perfect. It’s made very well and is a heavy enough material that the wind doesn’t blow it up. Wore it to work and it’s holding up really well so far.

Fit runs small so I sized up twice

I like the fit and it’s great material but the sizing chart is incorrect. I got a xs the first time and I had to squeeze into it now the medium fits perfect

SIZE DOWN

Size down if possible because the sizing is larger than expected. This was my first time purchasing an American Apparel tennis skirt since 2017 and the sizing is different now. The XS fits like a size small. AA never should have changed it

Not authentic

I own 3 authentic AA tennis skirts in a small all are smaller and shorter and better material, this tag also says made in Chiba, all my authentic skirts say made in America FAKE ITEM AVOID!!!!!

Very high waisted

The skirt is of really good quality but you should size down. I'm usually a small but had to buy an extra small which fits perfectly! My only complaint is that it is too high-waisted, so it's a bit unflattering and doesn't go well with a lot of the shirts I expected to wear with it. The pleating also starts a bit lower than I'd like, making the flat part of the skirt look a bit awkward. I'm still keeping it though since it's of good quality and it still looks good! I may just get it tailored to fit me a bit better

Runs Large!

This skirt is huge. I ordered an XS, and it was way too large! If you have a 20-22” waist I do not suggest buying this item as it runs large. I’ve returned the item, and hope they’ll add a XXS because other than the large sizing the skirt is really cute!

So Cute!

This is my second time purchasing this skirt, as my usual size (Small) was actually too big! An extra small fits perfectly! I am 5'2, 110 lbs and it is adorable. Can't wait to wear it in the summer! I wish they would restock the other colors!
