First and last skort you'll ever need or want.

I do not have a whole lot of experience in skort buying. This is the second skort I have ever purchased. I've tried on quite a few and never felt confident that they would stay put. They were usually too loose, or way too short. I suppose if I was very slender the short ones might have worked but that's just not what works for my body type. So the top 3 things I looked for in a skort; the fit, staying power and practicality, and style. To help describe how this skort fits I think it is useful to know what kind of body is wearing it. I am 5'10" and 175 on a good day, and wear a 10 or 12 depending on clothing style or item. I am active but not firm bodied like I would like to be. This means I've got some working horse thighs on me and a little bit of a belly. I bought the black in size LG and it fits perfect. The skirt and under shorts are definitely longer than most skorts I've come across. It falls mid thigh (about 4-5inches above my knees. For some this may not be a plus, but it my case I like the additional coverage. I think the length of the short is also what helps this skort stay in place. I did not find the length to be hindrance while running either. Other reviews mentioned that it rode a bit low on the hips, and made for an unflattering look. I was worried about this as I have that belly I mentioned...but turns out it really is quite flattering. I don't know if I hiked it up higher...(I don't think so because I imagine that would cause some discomfort on my lady parts) but the skort hits just below my belly button. So above my hips but not in a mom-jeans high-waisted way. I guess more like boot cut jeans fit...mid rise. This is a comfortable fit for me, but understandably not the fit for every body type. The fabric is not as light weight as the nylon mesh skorts I've seen, but the spandex fabric is not heavy either. I would describe it as mid-light weight which helps it fall nicely. The pockets are a definite plus. Hidden on thighs and one zippered in the back. Perfect for carrying a key, and credit or ID cards depending on what you're up to. The shorts do not ride! or as another reviewer said and I love "no chub rub"! I have already taken these shorts on a 12 mile hike, and 6 mile run and they don't budge...and continue to be absolutely comfy. I have not experienced any thigh squeeze or bulge from the shorts and they stay in place. I think they are very cute...even though I only got the black...but they have a lot of versatility. Basically I am so excited that I took a chance and bought this skort. So excited in fact that I've already bought the orange one as well and it's on it's way. I am truly now a "Happy Girl;)."

Very Cute, BUT some Quality concerns.

Cute, and great color (red berry with black). However, the quality is mediocre at best. FEATURES: Pockets: A nice zippered pocket on the back with a hole for the earbuds and a very well placed pocket on the shorts so that you can put your phone in it and it doesn't show a weird bulk on the side of your hip. SIZING / LENGTH (for Medium): Front is approximately 15 1/4 in. and back length is 16 1/2 in. The shorts are snug around my legs and for this, I don't think I'll experience it riding up. Note: I have slender / trim legs. QUALITY: DISAPPOINTED is probably the best description, both in the fabric and assembly. The fabric is thin, unlike other brands with good reputations, and doesn't hang as well as expected. It also seems that the way it is sewn on the side is not quite right. Maybe I got one that wasn't sewn well but managed to pass Quality Control. It is not smooth at the seams and seems to have some puckering, causing more issues with how it hangs off my hips (I have 38 inch hips so should be just right for a size Medium). Also, it has a 1/2 inch elastic which moves around within the waist band. Though it seems to do the job as I have seen other brands do the same, it is not of the quality that I would wear this in heavier athletic activities, such as tennis. I got this skort for my summer trips to Europe, so for my needs, this will be fine if I can get the side seam issue worked out. I probably wouldn't mind the lesser quality if it were under $30, but at the $50 that I paid, I think I'll look at other better quality brands. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it as I really do like the color and style.

I will probably get a lot of use from this skirt but there are definite like/dislikes about it. For reference I am 5'7" 145 lbs., usually wear size 8-10, and I bought size M in black. It fits well. The skirt length is nice, just above the knee so it is appropriate for workouts, hiking or casual outings. The shorts underneath are great, not too tight, a good length to prevent chafing. I've already run in this twice and the shorts don't ride up. The main problem is with the waistband. Instead of going straight across the stomach, it is curved and goes underneath the belly, which highlights any tummy bulge. For me, it is not so bad that I will return it, but I will have to pick shirts to pair with strategically to camouflage that area. Also I was surprised that this skirt lacked the hole to put headphones up through (if you put phone/mp3 in leg pockets). My SS tough girl pants/skirt has this, not sure why it was left out here. I had to run with my phone in the back exterior pocket, and the weight of it while running did shift the skirt downward so I needed to adjust while running. I wish it had a drawstring. I don't wear shorts, so this will be a go-to piece all summer. Overall, this is a great addition to the wardrobe for its comfort and versatility.

Good Skort small fit

I love the pattern on this skirt and it looked fantastic with a white shirt and wine hoodie. I received complements when I wore it at my last tournament. It fits a little small and I'm not happy with the waistline but other than that it's ok.

Jupe-short bien conçue. Bonne longueur, bon tissu strech qui sèche vite. Poche arrière un peu serrée pour une balle de pickleball. Ça prend quelques secondes pour la sortir sans compter le soulèvement de la jupe pour extraire la balle de la poche. Un détail. Élastique à la taille un peu mou, J'ai tendance à vérifier régulièrement l'ajustement de la taille en jouant au pickleball. Élastique mou ou taille juste un peu trop grande? Je ne sais pas. Bon produit malgré tout cela.
