Ice maker fixed!

Works perfectly! The price is a bit high, however, I was leery of the quality of other, cheaper, third-party options. We have been without ice for over a year and now have a functioning ice maker. Installation was a breeze and took about 20 minutes. The replacement does not have a nice grove on top for tying the cables to (as the original part did). This requires careful placement when installing to avoid the cables getting in the way of the mounting points. Everything else is identical.

Pretty easy repair and seems to be a legit Electrolux/Frigidaire OEM part

After looking at several either OEM or 3rd party replacements for our 8 year old Frigidaire (LGHB2867PF0) upper cabinet/in-door ice maker, we purchased this model from Amazon. Certainly more expensive than many of these alternatives, but it arrived on time, well-boxed and in new condition. It does show the "country of origin as PR China" -- but the outside label and product stamping all matched the existing (factory) part numbers. The repair itself was very pretty easy -- for the most part just following Repair clinic instructions for removing the front cover (2 screws) and then the wiring cover (1 screw). I chose not to remove the entire outside of the ice maker housing, and instead just removed the ice maker by undoing the wiring, and then clipping / removing three zip ties from the old ice maker part, then just sliding it out. This new assembly is slightly different from the original part -- with a well-designed channel on the upper right that allows the existing wiring harness to sit. It took less than 30 minutes and later that day we had ice again. We're a couple of days now past the install, and the ice maker seems to be working great. So far, we're pretty pleased with this part and the results.

Fixed My Problem

I had to have a repair man do the installation. He had no problems, and made the job seem easy. It fixed my problem, and I am happy.
